New Mexico Libertarians Finish Petition

The Libertarian Party of New Mexico has collected 6,800 signatures on its petition to get back on the ballot. Since 3,872 are required, this is probably enough. This is the first petition drive the Libertarian Party has completed anywhere in the U.S. in a year. By contrast, the Green Party has completed two during the last year (Louisiana and Utah).

  1. We need to get cracking on our petition drive as it is apparent by now the legal system isn’t going to help our cause.
If we can obtain political offices we can then change this law.

  2. Ihave tried unsuccessfully to contact Libertarian party officials in New Mexico for almost a year. How can they expect to win anything if they won’t respond to people who are interested in joining the party?

  3. If the local party isn’t responsive, join the national party (lp.org) and see if there’s a county chapter. Go to the state convention and toss the non-responsive officials out.

You could also try MeetUp and see if there’s a local group.
