Independent American Party of Nevada Nominates 35 Candidates

On March 1, the Independent American Party of Nevada (affiliate of the Constitution Party) filed its list of candidates in the 2010 elections with the Secretary of State. The party is running for all four congressional seats, four state executive posts, four State Senate seats, eleven Assembly seats, and county offices in five counties.

Janine Hansen, the IAP nominee in 2008 for State Senate who polled 34.75% in a two-person race, is running in 2010 for Assembly. The 2010 IAP nominee for U.S. Senate is Tim Fasano of Fernley. Thanks to Glenn Brown and Janine Hansen for this news.

  1. We might get a few more extra people that might want to run for office in the next couple of days, fyi.

  2. The U.S. Senate is part of Congress, so Nevada has 4 congressional elections in November 2010 (one Senate, 3 House).

I’m always careful to say “U.S. House” when I mean to refer only to the US House of Representatives. I realize much of the press uses “Congress” to mean only the U.S. House but I don’t agree with that use of words.

  3. The IAP in Nevada demonstrates it is political savvy by running candidates for county offices. I understand they already have a “County Clerk” or a similar office elected in one county – perhaps Richard can tell us which one and who the IAP member who was elected to this office.

Other state 3rd parties would do well to follow the example of the Nevada IAP. Elect county officials, let them serve with distinction, then you have a pool of candidates who can run for higher office and fight off the oft-heard claim by the media and others that such 3rd party candidates have no experience.

  4. The use of “all 4” is confusing then, since you really meant “4 of the 5” congressional seats.

Nevada has 5 congressional seats, and the IAP is running for all 4 of them.

  5. The IAP has a long connection with the AIP of California,
viz., circa 1967. They should think of joining the
America’s Independent Party of Fenton, Michigan as the
national affiliate. All the Constitution Party has done
is give them grief for years, viz.,the Tampa meeting etc.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American Independent Party; Chairman, Orange County Central Committee of the American Independent Party; & Executive
Committee Man of the America’s Independent Party of Fenton, Michigan (national affliate of the AIP of CA since June 27, 2008)

P.S. AIP State Chairman Markham Robinson is running for
Governor of CA and Former State Chairman Edward Noonan
is running for U S. Senate. Lawrence Beliz a long time AIPer (joined the AIP in 1968) is running for State Controller. Mr. Beliz has been active in the AIP in several counties in California over the years, viz., Fresno, San Francisco, San Diego, and Orange and a former Area Director. Mr. Beliz will be visiting Las
Vegas next week. So if you see him, say “Howdy”!

  6. The IAP in Nevada demonstrates it is political savvy by running candidates for county offices. I understand they already have a “County Clerk” or a similar office elected in one county – perhaps Richard can tell us which one and who the IAP member who was elected to this office.

=You’re talking about Jackie Berg, who was elected as a county clerk in a 3-way partisan race. We also elected a Constable in Searchlight and another fellow to the Elko School Board.

Other state 3rd parties would do well to follow the example of the Nevada IAP. Elect county officials, let them serve with distinction, then you have a pool of candidates who can run for higher office and fight off the oft-heard claim by the media and others that such 3rd party candidates have no experience.

    = Exactely

  7. The IAP has a long connection with the AIP of California,
viz., circa 1967. They should think of joining the
America’s Independent Party of Fenton, Michigan as the
national affiliate. All the Constitution Party has done
is give them grief for years, viz.,the Tampa meeting etc.

= Yet this national AIP clashes with the IAP on the issue of Foreign Policy. The IAP is opposed to membership in the United Nations and being involved in world affairs, and this is an issue we won’t compromise at all on. If the CP gave us grief again, we’d likely join with the AFP instead.
On another matter, the actions and rhetoric of Ed Noonan is another big factor on why we would never join, its unanimous in this party that his actions during 2008 has deeply ruined his reputation with us and any kind of respect we had for him before.

P.S. AIP State Chairman Markham Robinson is running for
Governor of CA and Former State Chairman Edward Noonan
is running for U S. Senate.

= If you were smart, you should’ve had kept him out of your current affairs; the fact that he falsely claimed that ‘The CP has never elected anybody to office’ will come back to haunt him and hurt you guys; he is regarded as incompetent and a nutjob in this state.

= Who is he visiting with?

  8. Cody,

You state “If the CP (Constitution Party?) gives us grief again, we’d like to join the AFP (America First
Party?) instead. Who do you mean by ‘WE’? Is it some
of the leaders of the IAP. Please have your people also
consider the America’s Independent Party of Fenton, Michigan. The American Independent Party has been affilated with it since June 27, 2008 and it has been
growing great. All kinds of former CP leaders have joined its ranks. Remember both Markham Robinson and
myself came to Reno in May, 2008 at the request of Chairman Hansen to meet with IAP leaders over the formation of the America’s Independent
Party. Also you are wrong the AIP wants the USA out of
    the UN.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American Independent Party

P.S. Mr. Beliz will not have the time to go to Carson City on this trip to meet with you, even though he knows
that Carson City under its former name was Carsonville and was a County Seat in Califooria in the mid-19th
    century.

  9. Cody,

You state “If the CP (Constitution Party?) gives us grief again, we’d like to join the AFP (America First
Party?) instead. Who do you mean by ‘WE’? Is it some
of the leaders of the IAP.

= Again you’re putting things out of context, I said ‘likely’, not ‘like’. And I said it because at least the AFP platform is more similar to our own platform then yours. And I think ‘We’ means the the party you idiot.

    Please have your people also
consider the America’s Independent Party of Fenton, Michigan. The American Independent Party has been affilated with it since June 27, 2008 and it has been
    growing great.

= Well, we voted to stay affiliated with the CP last time I heard.
So, do you have ballot access in any other state besides Florida and California? Have you been electing people to office recently like the Utah CP and Michigan USTP has?
BTW, putting people like Ed Noonan and Alan Keyes on a pedestal in your party is actually turning us off more to you guys. And you would’ve been more effective staying in the CP and working to make it better with us instead of breaking off and attempting to splinter the Constitutionalist vote. Believe me, you have alienated more people through your actions then you have gained allies for your cause.

All kinds of former CP leaders have joined its ranks.

= Like who, besides anybody in California.

    Remember both Markham Robinson and
myself came to Reno in May, 2008 at the request of Chairman Hansen to meet with IAP leaders over the formation of the America’s Independent
Party. Also you are wrong the AIP wants the USA out of
    the UN.

= Funny how Chris was acting belligerent against the State Committee of the Party at the time. We refused to keep him as our Chair and voted in Mark Andrews instead. Chris also had the intentions of doing exactly what Ed Noonan did that year, only thanks to the vigilant efforts of Janine and other Independent Americans, we stopped that from happening.
And you don’t specifically talk about withdrawing from the UN and world affairs in your platform.
I think many in the IAP agree with me that there are a few issues we have with the CP, but overall the national CP is worth sticking to and making better, instead of forming another third party when there’s already too many out there in America that cause division or take away votes.

P.S. Mr. Beliz will not have the time to go to Carson City on this trip to meet with you, even though he knows
that Carson City under its former name was Carsonville and was a County Seat in Califooria in the mid-19th
    century.

    = And I really don’t give two sh*ts.

  10. BTW Mark, you need to stop calling up the IAP leaders over everything I say here, you’re making yourself look like a nutjob and a stalker.
And I guarantee we will take legal action if you keep it up.

And another thing, you’re hurting your party’s cause through your actions as well.

I thought you were at least better then Ed Noonan. Guess I was wrong.

Unlike Cody Quirk the platform of the AIP is pro-life.
The former chairperson (Nancy Spirkoff) of the AIP was pro-choice. Her term as a member of the AIP State Central Committee ended on July 31, 2006. Now the AIP is 100 % pro-life (no exection).

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American
    Independent Party

  13. I just notice I make a typing error. I wrote “no exection”. It should have stated that since Nancy
Spirkoff left the AIP State Central Committee on July 31, 2006 the party has been 100 % pro-life (no exceptions).

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American Independent Party.

  14. TO: Cody Quirk:

In your post of # 10, you asked “Have you been electing
people to office lately like the Utah CP and the Michigan USTP has?”

Thanks to a posting in Ballot Access News the answer is yes.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American Independent Party

  15. Is either the national AIP ( KEYES FACTION) or the nevada aip 100% pro-life?

= Yes we are, and we are the ‘IAP’.

=John Lofton? what’s a religious bigot like you doing here? Lol!

Thanks to a posting in Ballot Access News the answer is yes.

    =Who and where?

  16. —News Update–

As of March 5, we will be running 44 candidates, but we expect more people to run and we may pass the 50 candidate mark.
