  1. Is that a strong showing based on historical voting patterns for the district? In one district in Portland, Maine, a Green candidate who did not campaign beat the Republican in a 3 way race and received more than 16%, so it all depends on the voting history of the district.

  2. #2, it’s tough to answer the question, because the district has four representatives elected at-large within the district, in regular elections.

In 2008, in the same district, the ballot said “vote for 4” and the 4 Republican nominees got 3,005, 2,985, 2,874 and 2,670 votes. The 4 Democratic nominees got 2,833, 2,626, 2,327, and 2,151 votes. The Libertarian got 716 votes.

  3. Cost per vote ???

NO high cost vacancy elections —
    Candidate/incumbent replacement rank order lists.
Legislative body to fill vacancy if no list person.

  4. That’s a really great showing for my Libertarians! It’s really too bad he didn’t win though 🙁

Janvrin is virtually a Democrat. This race was a prime example of Republocratism at its worst. Hard to tell the two parties apart. Wayne McDonald must either be completely blind or just another Republocrat like the rest of them.

  5. The LP in New Hampshire, at one time, held 4 seats in the state house. Hard to get excited about a distant third place finish.
