Michigan Referendum Foes Ask State Supreme Court to Invalidate Petition Because of Font Size

Opponents of a Michigan referendum have asked the State Supreme Court to invalidate the referendum petition, on the grounds that the petition used the wrong font size. The State Court of Appeals earlier upheld the petition, on the grounds that the petition is in substantial compliance with the law, even if the font size wasn’t exactly what the law demands.   2. Welcome to Michigan since the Republicans took over in 2010. They are running around like a bunch of fascists, declaring emergency managers who can take over cities and school districts, displacing duly elected officials and contracts.
