Former Congressman Sues His Campaign Aides for Deliberately Sabotaging his Ballot Access Petition in 2012

On April 11, former Michigan Congressman Thaddeus McCotter sued some of his campaign workers for allegedly sabotaging his ballot access petition in 2012. In Michigan, candidates for certain partisan offices, including Congress, must submit petitions to be on a primary ballot. McCotter could not appear on the primary ballot in 2012 because his petition was deficient. See this story. Thanks to PoliticalWire for the link.

  1. Oh, maybe he could sue his parents for not raising him right; I mean he could decide to take responsibility for something that was his responsibility and if he decided that the system for getting on the ballot necessitated him delegating that responsibilty to others he could now work to REFORM the system such that accessing the ballot should be proforma instead of a big, massive resource-draining project that must be dished off to specialists, but no, he can’t see that, only that others are to blame.

Why does Mr McCotter have to be as awful as the system istelf?

  2. 3) true enough. But liberty minded folks will be watching his voting record.
