The North Carolina State Board of Elections recently released new voter registration data. See here for the county-by-county breakdown.
Current percentages are: Democratic 42.89%; Republican 30.81%; independent 25.98%; Libertarian .33%.
As of November 2012, the percentages were: Democratic 43.17%; Republican 30.86%; independent 25.67%; Libertarian .29%. Thanks to Ray Ubinger for the link.
It always depresses me how low minor party registrations & vote totals are. The large number of independents is encouraging.
Congratulations to the NCLP!! All your hard work is paying off. 21,000+ registrations is fantastic. Up over 10% since December 1. NC is a “jewel” in the Libertarian Party ballot access “crown” along with IN, GA, and TX.
GOP/Dems saw decrease, while indies and libertarians saw increases in registrants. Nice.
