Hawaii Passes Election-Day Registration Bill

On April 29, the Hawaii legislature passed HB 2590. Starting in 2018, individuals who are not already registered to vote will be able to register to vote on election day at the precinct. For 2016, that will not be possible, but for 2016 only, such individuals can register on election day at the county’s election administration office. Here is a link to the bill. Thanks to Rick Hasen for this news.
