ACLU Takes Active Role to Persuade Connecticut to Allow Out-of-State Circulators

The ACLU of Connecticut is actively talking with state officials about the state’s ban on out-of-state circulators. There is some hope that the ban will be relaxed in time for 2016 petitioning. Minor party and independent candidate petitions can’t circulate in Connecticut until January 2, 2016. The statewide petition is 7,500 signatures.

  1. These bans on out-of-state petition circulators are unconstitutional, and they are also ridiculous. The states that are still pulling this all need to be challenged in court.
