California Republican Delegation to National Convention Must Stay in Hotel that is 58 Miles West of Cleveland

The California delegation to the Republican national convention in Cleveland has been assigned to stay at Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio. The resort is 58 miles west of the site of the convention, Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland.

The party has contracted with a bus company to supply transportation for the delegates and alternates between the hotel and the convention. Every trip, for the entire group, costs $15,000.

  1. Richard,

Back in 1975, when I was working for Orozco Travel Service, the Republican California Delegation was planning to use a cruise ship at the Port of Cleveland, Ohio, if Cleveland was picked for 1976. What is wrong with the leadership of CAGOP and not doing that idea of a cruise ship at Cleveland, Ohio. 58 miles in transit, what loser though of that as an idea over a cruise ship!? William J. Orozco was the Los Angeles County Chairman of the Republican Party at the time, and I handled ocean liner travel for that travel agency.

I am a recovering Republican, therefore, I am not doing travel issues for the CAGOP. Richard Winger,
it would be interesting where the different state delegations will be lodged at the convention. Please
    post such a list.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Chairman, American Independent Party of California

  2. If Kalahari Resort is the place you end up, my suggest is go visit the Liberty Aviation Museum at Port
Clinton and have a meal at Tin Goose Diner while at the museum.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Chairman, American Independent Party.

  3. One California delegate said when he had got on Facebook several years ago, he looked up everyone with the same name, and had corresponded with someone in Cleveland off-and-on over the years. He will be staying with his Cleveland namesake, who happens to have an office very close to the convention arena.

The articles I’ve seen said that the convention organizers had people from the different states to Cleveland last week, where they got their assignments. They listed a few, and mentioned that some would be in the Akron-Canton area. Also some in Beechwood, which is a suburb to the east. Texas is about a 1/2 mile away, so they’ll be able to ride to the convention.

  4. How many millions of folks in the USA Army, Navy, Air Force and Ohio (and other States) State/Local cops, and Militia (aka National Guard) will be guarding the Elephant circus / concentration camp from the usual suspects who WILL be in a RIOT / INSURRECTION / REBELLION / REVOLUTION mode ???

How many Convention Elephants will be flying in daily from Canada or some other foreign nation ???
