Eight Presidential Candidates will be on Mississippi Ballot

Mississippi will have the nominees of eight political parties on the ballot. See the list here. They are:

1. American Delta Party, Rocky De La Fuente
2. Constitution Party, Darrell Castle
3. Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton
4. Green Party, Jill Stein
5. Libertarian Party, Gary Johnson
6. Prohibition Party, Jim Hedges
7. Reform Party, Barbara Dale Washer
8. Republican Party, Donald Trump

This is the first time since 1896 that the Prohibition Party presidential nominee, or a Prohibition Party nominee for any office, has been on the ballot in Mississippi.

It is somewhat surprising that Evan McMullin did not qualify, because only 1,000 signatures were required for an independent, and the deadline was September 9.

  1. I thought the American Freedom Party qualified in Mississippi? Didn’t their presidential candidate make it?

  2. MS now has a few of $2500, Barbara Dale Washer is the Reform Party candidate ! what a joke

  3. The American Freedom Party had nominated Kenn Gividen, but then he backed out, so they made Bob Whitaker the nominee, then they got boners for Trump, so Whitaker left the party with his running mate and is now a write-in candidate.

  4. I was under the impression that the Veterans Party had also filed paperwork some time ago, but I don’t see them listed.

  5. Does this mean that the American Delta Party is now a full party in Mississippi? The ballot access chart shows that party designations aren’t allowed on petitions.

  6. Let’s have a discussion as to whether Barbara Dale Washer passes the commander and chief test. 🙂

  7. I wish that Mississippi Reform Party would rejoin the national party. I mean really, its sad. And where is the Veterans Party?
