Plurality voting creates fighting, polarization and division.

    Civil war.

But the establishment media is only interested in the fights.

To those reporters, that’s the juice or the news.

Now there is a new way of thinking. It’s where working together makes us stronger, fixes more problems and which results in many potential alternatives to war be considered.

The problem is that pure proportional representation is new.

(plurality voting = all voting, other than ranked choice voting in multi-winner election districts, and NO exceptions)

Plurality voting makes candidates think that they must explain why they are better than everyone else. It’s a position in psychology which works against collaboration and diplomacy.

Because of self-centered egotistical maniacs who are attracted by single-winner power grabs generated by single-winner (winner- takes-all) district elections, those same flawed personalities are only able to implement vote plurality elections, civil wars and all things which perpetuate the pluralist psychology.

A good example is how the “voting reformists” implemented ranked choice voting (RCV) in single-winner districts
in San Francisco, Oakland and many other governmental elections, both current and proposed.

But single-winner districts under RCV is still winner-takes-all and the mathematics is the same destructive, polarizing divisive psychology where one civic group takes all the seats in every
    single-winner district.

Consequently, the reporters at the SF Chronical and Bay Area News Group, have no idea how to promote the correct math under pure proportional representation. That’s because those in power in these areas; Governor Jerry Brown, Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom,
Senator Feinstein and all the status quo Democratics in power, they love single-winner power grab psychology since they are the biggest party, they win and so they think everything is fine.

But look at the current field of US Presidential candidates; both top contenders are war-mongers, both think bombs and civil war are fine, and all the news is about conflict, division which they
    love and embrace.

While President Obama was dropping bombs on Libya in 2014, he was lobbying military contractors who produce these bombs.

But one smart bomb doesn’t cost as much as thousands of paper ballots under pure proportional representation and all of those shooting bombs as well as those who are being murdered by those bombs, actually prefer a peaceful
decision-making alternative to force and violence.

For pluralists, there is no dialogue, no incentive to listen to alternative ideas, no real competition of ideas, collaboration with others through coalition building, as we find under the entertaining and logical results of incremental improvements within pure proportional representation.

    Pure Proportional Representation

Fortunately, there is a new way, and it has been available for more than 100 years, since Swiss physicist Edward Hagenbach-Bischoff applied calibrations to election systems to produce pure proportional representation (PR) in the early 1900s.

This is a multi-winner district (two or more names or decision-items elected simultaneously, with NO exceptions)
where RCV is used. Not like San Francisco California, but instead
    like Cambridge Massachusetts
    city elections.
