Hillary Clinton Margin over Donald Trump in Popular Vote May Go as High as 1,600,000 — 14 Comments

  1. We still have the issue of the 55 Presidential Electors in
CA. I have found no ballots in California that state the required language under CA Election Code 13205(b), viz. “To vote for all of the electors of a party, stamp a cross (+) in the square opposite the name of a party and
Its Presidental and Vice Presidential candidates, is a vote for all of the electors of that party, but for no other
    candidate”.

CA Elections Code 13200 is clear, viz., “Ballots not printed in accordance with this Chapter shall not be counted in any election.”

Both sections 13200 and 13205 are in the same chapter
    # 3 of Division 13 of the Elections Code. Therefore Clintons Electoral count needs to drop to 173 from 228.

  2. My hunch is that this story is going to be proven wrong since the majority of absentee ballots typically go GOP. I think that when all the votes are counted, if they even do count them, Trump will be shown as the winner the popular vote.

  3. At one time, the absentees did lean Republican, but that has not been the case for several decades now. In the old days, in California, the only absentees were people who signed a statement saying they were going to be out of town, or that they were too sick on election day to come to the polls. Republicans tended to be more organized people and they were more likely to be absentees. That is why in November 1960 Kennedy won California on the poll votes, but when the absentees were counted, Nixon won.

It is entirely different now that over half the votes are mail ballots. In recent elections in California, time after time a Republican appeared to have won on election night but a month later the Democrat had won.

  4. Richard- How many overseas votes are expected in Florida and who do they vote for? No counties in Florida have finished reporting overseas ballots, and a Clinton swing could force a recount.

  5. “Over half of votes are mail ballots” wow, here in NY you have to submit a reason to be awarded an absentee ballot, and if the board of elections doesn’t like your reason you’re refused one.

  6. Sounds like a damn good reason to get rid of absentee and mail-in ballots except for valid reasons.

  7. But, here’s a sobering thought:

If you exclude all the votes from California, then the popular votes up until this point, as currently shown in Wikipedia, are:

    Trump: 56,803,315
    Clinton: 54,529,144
    Johnson: 3,856,197
    Stein: 1,089,954

  8. Maybe if California ceded it might mean something. Clinton’s vote should increase, California and Florida should go more for the Democratic candidate, I heard in the past that Americans outside the US trend Democratic Don’t know why,Absentee here in Texas went more Democratic so I guess it could in California. Provisional ballots tend to go more Democratic. So I think Hillary will increase her popular vote significantly. It’s approaching 700,000 now. Someone predicted it will end up being the biggest margin for a loser winning the popular vote in history.

  9. TOTAL mobilization to count ballots after the election day deadline.

Difficult ONLY for the EVIL robot party HACKS who control the rotted system

  10. The duplicity in this type of story wreaks a terrible stench. If a complete vote in California is mandated to validate Clinton in the eyes of some people in the General Election where were those making this plea when the Democrat Party declared Clinton the winner of Democrat Party Nomination 24 hours BEFORE the polls opened in the California Primary ?

  11. ALL paper mail ballots NOW in how many areas ???

Will such areas be invaded and suppressed from having such ALL paper mail ballots ???

For the brain dead on this list — absentee ballots came along during the horrific Civil WAR —

i.e. ballots for the Union Army and Navy troopers fighting the EVIL forces of slavery in the southern States.

How much disease happens in over-heated over-crowded polling places ???

  12. Mark Seidenberg is correct to point to the problem of overvotes in California. Anyone who voted for Donald Trump in California cast an invalid vote, since the Republicans and the AIP submitted different slates of electors. Trump votes in California should be declared invalid. Votes for the Democrat, Libertarian and Green tickets are not overvotes, and should be counted.

Thanks to Mark Seidenberg for pointing out the problem with California votes for Donald Trump.
