On March 3, the Utah House passed HB 349 by 59-12. It applies to all partisan office, both in primaries and general elections. It even applies to the presidential primary, if there is one in Utah in the future. If it is signed into law, it takes effect in 2019. Thanks to Rick Hasen for this news.
2012? is that a typo?
Thank you! You’re right. I just fixed it.
Even to Presidential Electors?
It would be great if this applies to presidential general election. I’m guessing that Gary Johnson would have won because a majority would have listed him as either their first or second choice.
