Great news.
Congrats Libertarians even I don’t support your ideology and party, But ever since 2016 some more Americans are very slowly accepting both Libertarian and Green parties into American political culture even your system is very undemocratic or other blocks for all third parties in this nation overall.
The Illinois Green Party also got some people elected or re-elected to non-partisan office on April 4th. http://www.ilgp.org/2017_election_results
Also, congrats to the Libertarians. I’d much rather see them in office instead of most Republicans, seeing as we agree on civil liberties among other things.
At least on the bright side, people from both the Green and Libertarian parties are winning local races. Of the races that still need seats filled, people from both parties need to step it up to show interest in being appointed. Sure, it’s likely going to be a two-year unexpired term, but at least we’re involved.
I say this as someone who will be appointed as trustee to the township library board in Nokomis Township (Montgomery County) as of the next meeting May 8. There was originally only one vacancy, but as of the board meeting last night, one vacancy will become four as of the next meeting and two people, including myself, are ready to be appointed. Two more trustee seats will need to be filled.
