The Socialist Party now has a state organization in Maine. See this story. The last time any nominee of the Socialist Party was on the ballot in Maine was 1952. Back then Maine only required 1,000 signatures for a statewide independent or the statewide nominee of an unqualified party.

Good, the more third-parties that exist, the better. Hell, even though I’m mostly a Green, if I lived in a state were we actually had real ballot access for third parties, I’d probably vote for a socialist party over a Green Party member.
They support gun registration and they meet at a gun club. Ironic.
