Jonah Goldberg, in the Los Angeles Times, says in this column that a presidential candidate running outside the two major parties might win in 2020. Of course that has always seemed unlikely, but, as he says at the end of the column, the election of someone like President Trump also seemed awfully unlikely, until it happened. Thanks to Gene Berkman for the link.
How about getting a 35 percent extremist USA Prez in 2021 —
of mass death and destruction ???
As if the current crop of govt MONSTERS in USA, Russia, China, NK, Iran, etc are not evil enough.

I don’t think that’s going to happen.
I’ll probably vote third party whether or not they have a “chance” to win, so while it’d be nice to get rid of the taboo, but it seems more unlikely than Trump winning, which, in hindsight, should have been predicted by at least some non-Trump fans.
