The Los Angeles Times has this story about the Peoples Party of Seattle. So far it has only run candidates in non-partisan elections. It seems to be a re-branding of the Socialist Alternative Party. Thanks to Gene Berkman for the link.

Both Socialist Alternative and city council member Kshama Sawant endorsed the People’s Party candidate in the recent Seattle mayoral primary. But I don’t think it’s accurate to call the People’s Party a “re-branding” of Socialist Alternative. For Socialist Altenative’s perspective on the Seattle People’s Party, see this article.
