San Francisco Chronicle Story on Tom Palzer’s Initiative to Repeal California Top-Two System

The San Francisco Chronicle has this story about Tom Palzer’s California initiative to repeal the top-two system. When Palzer had first announced his initiative, the Los Angeles Times and the Sacramento Bee had carried stories about it, but this is the first time the San Francisco Chronicle has mentioned it.

  1. I hope Tom Palzer’s initiative succeeds. CA’s Top Two system needs to die, and be replaced with Ranked Choice Voting and/or proportional representation.

  3. How if the fundraising going for this? Is he going to be able to raise enough money to hire paid petition signature gatherers? If not, he stands no chance of making the ballot, as even if he manages to get a good volunteer signature gathering effort, which remains to be seen, I can’t see it realistically see them getting enough volunteer signatures to get this thing on the ballot.
