New North Carolina Registration Data

The September 15, 2018 registration tally for North Carolina is: Democratic 38.02%; Republican 29.85%; Libertarian .52%; Green .01%; Constitution .01%; independent and miscellaneous 31.59%. Here is a link to the State Board of Elections page that shows the numbers. Green and Constitution registration is quite low because until a few months ago, it was not possible for voters to register into those parties and have those registrations tallied.

In February 2018, the percentages were: Democratic 38.65%; Republican 30.17%; Libertarian .50%; independent and miscellaneous 30.68%.

The State Board of Elections has no registration data earlier than 1966. Republicans had always been more numerous than registered independents (in the years for which data exists), until September 2017, when independents started outnumbering Republicans. Back in 1972, North Carolina had 541,916 Republicans but only 79,129 independents.

  1. Due to the hurricane near total chaos in NC/SC —

will there be an election day in Nov 2018 ??? —
or will some crisis laws happen to delay the election day ???

ie how many printers for ballots and vote scanner machines wiped out ???

At risk — control of gerrymander USA Congress and NC/SC regimes.

    Back to the 1800s ??? — voice votes and hand/paper totals ???

  2. The North Carolina registration form is formatted in a way that clearly indicates that party affiliation is optional, and placed among other fields that a person might not disclose.

The required fields are: US Citizenship; Over 18 (over 16 if you understand that you can’t vote until 18); Name; Date of Birth; Residential address; and Signature. These are highlighted by a red box. All but the signature are at the top of the form.

Things such as SSNO, DMV ID, Mailing Address, Description of residence if no address; Demographic information, including race, ethnicity, and sex; party affiliation; e-mail address; and phone number, are in the middle of the form with a dull gray box.

Not only has there been a sharp rise in persons not providing a party affiliation, there have been large increases in those not indicating their race or sex.

  3. What New Age Govt info form is NOT a PURGE list ???

A bit higher odds that Civil WAR II may start in NC after the hurricane damage is reduced ???

    — see the about 10-15 NC gerrymander cases in SCOTUS since 1964 – the most of any State.
