Matt Welch Uses Exit Poll Data to Debunk Claim that Jill Stein Cost Hillary Clinton Victory in 2016 — 4 Comments

  1. How many New Age LIARS saying LIES to MORON pollsters to be, of course, New Age *politically correct* ???

How about 2 pollster questions —

Do you know that the Electoral College produces ANTI-Democracy minority rule Prezs ???

Should the Electoral College be abolished ???

  2. How many Stein folks who voted for Trump in States NOT having Stein on ballots ???

    Approx. ZERO ???

  3. How reliable is that exit data?

CNN polled 2812 Michiganese voters. That means the expected number of Stein voters would be 28. Once CNN starts adjusting weights it gets even worse.

A Stein voter who would respond, “CNN is fake news! RT is pravda!”, would not be interviewed.

Blowhards and braggarts would be disproportionately represented. Someone who had just voted for Stein may want to demonstrate their superior intellect, by stating that they would not vote for Clinton or Trump.

If I encountered an exit pollster, depending on the weather, I would avoid them, or I would tell them that Trump reminds me of Truman who I voted for in my first election, and that I am now 38, or I would go up while they were interviewing someone and say, “don’t mind me just eavesdropping on my fellow citizen”, or maybe I would just watch, curious about the process.

Women tend to infer motive behind questions. Are you married or single might mean a male interviewer is trying to pick her up. If a married couple were approached by an attractive female interviewer, the man would straighten his tie and say sure, why not, while the women would tug his arm and remind him they had to get home for Billy and Janey.

  4. I did one of those exit surveys in 2008. The only question the survey person voiced was if I would take the survey. They just give you a form on a clipboard to fill out.
