How many states do they have ballot access in?
None, but I am guessing they will petition in Michigan because their national office is in Michigan, and last year the independent petition for statewide office was lowered from 30,000 signatures to 12,000 signatures by a U.S. District Court Judge.
How many *socialist* parties in the USA in addition to the RED communist Donkey party since 1890 / 1932 / 2016 ???
Demo, there’s around 9-10 socialist/communist/leftist parties that run people for various offices. Not that the question was exactly asked in good faith, but there you go.
As for the SEP, not only are their national offices in Michigan, they also ran a Niles Niemuth for the House in 2018, who had also been their VP pick in 2016. Actually, I’m surprised they weren’t on this ticket somewhere, because that’s usually how these third-parties work, but I suppose he’s doing other stuff for the party.
