Maryland Board of Elections Votes to Allow Electronic Signatures

At its April 22 meeting, the Maryland State Board of Elections voted to permit electronic signatures on petitions for party status and independent candidates.  The Board will ask the Governor to reduce the number of signatures for those petitions.  Thanks to Kevin Zeese for this news.

  1. Talking to a Maryland Green on FB who is involved in the discussions. He confirmed the board will accept electronic signatures but disputes that they ever said they will ask the Governor to reduce the number of signatures for those petitions. He said he’ll email Richard today.

  2. This is fantastic! Now the Libertarian and Green parties can get on the ballot easier!
