3. My thought back when there were going to be real Conventions for the 2 main parties was Trump would try doing this between Pence and Nikki Haley. All the political drama and intrigue were on the Democratic side, so that’d’ve been the must Trump thing ever.

My gut says he’ll go with Harris, our potential future 47th president. If it was my pick, I’d say Rice considering a black woman has been mandated and they’re in short supply.
If he’s not going to go with Harris though, throwing it to a floor vote like I said insulates him from blowback. I kind of hate how the major parties decide on vice presidential candidates. I’m not saying the presidential nominee shouldn’t have a say in the matter, but he can knock the choices down to his final 2 or 3, and then the Convention votes for who it should be. That way the nominee has a minor semblance of democratic legitimacy instead of this “suspend the rules and all say aye” bullcrap.
Speaking of Veepstakes and black women candidates, Karen Bass’ political career is over from all this scrutiny. She’ll probably stay in office in November, I’m sure it’s a super-safe Democrat district and I don’t know how well-supported her opponent if Democrat is. But come 2022 and redistricting with California potentially losing a seat, she’ll have a new district.

If trump tries to imply she is behind riots and looting he will get a huge backlash from younger, more well off and educated whites, women of all colors and nonwhite voters of all income and educational levels. It might increase his turnout numbers for low income, low education older white men, but they are heavily in his corner and already fired up to turn out regardless of Biden’s co pick.

If people are willing to vote for a female p candidate they will certainly vote for a female VP candidate. And Biden is polling higher than Clinton did at any point in 2016. Her national poll numbers were actually quite accurate. She lost by 80,000 votes in 3 states. There was not enough polling done in those states with late breaking news in the cycle. But the battleground states are polling much more towards Biden than they ever did towards Clinton. Regardless of whether you think this is good or bad there’s just no evidence for your claim of widespread lying to pollsters.
