Lengthy Daily Beast Interview with Brock Pierce — 11 Comments

  1. OK.
I read the linked Daily Beast article.
If Pierce’s reason d’etre is the formation of a third national centrist party, well the Reform/Alliance party movement is trying to do just that.
I have already written that I do not believe such a party can be sustained due to Duverger’s Law. Now he wants to create another? Another Perot-like party? Good luck but I don’t think so.
Pierce is clearly an elite. A 1%er. In other words part of practically all of the problem. I believe elites brought slaves to the Americas. Unfortunately yes, George Washington was an elite.
Does Pierce have the makings of a Washington? I don’t think so.
To emphasize the magnitude of the problem, I believe the United Nations is the best chance for world peace and they are elites-diplomats- representing elite governments.
Pierce’s political contributions overwhelmingly support Republicans. He is political spectrum vague but that gives a good indication.
I certainly would not vote for Brock Pierce.

  2. Further, in fairness.
The Elites are most of the problem of human existence, but also possibly part of the solution.
The vast majority-if not all-people involved in politics are Elites.
e.g. Kevin Zeese is an Elite. Jo Jorgensen also.
What is needed is for the Elites to form a PLAS movement/government, then send their ambassadors to the UN.
How Brock Pierce fits into this, I do not know. Insufficient data.
    I doubt Pierce himself knows.
But he shows no present leftist spectrum tendencies-either progressive or libertarian tendencies.
However the proverbial road to libertarianism via the republican party is well known.
Let Pierce get further along this road and maybe then I could vote for him.
    But not now.

  3. Well Robert, a lot of centrist parties have merged to form the Alliance Party. These include the Party of Minnesota which Jesse Ventura governed under after switching from the Reform Party. Got the information below from their website which lists of all of the political parties that created and merged into the Alliance Party:

    Independence Party of Minnesota (2019)
    American Alliance Party (2019)
    Independent Party of Connecticut (2020)
Prior to the 2018 meeting, six independent parties had merged into the Modern Whig Party between 2008 and 2016.

    USA Party (2008)
    Veterans Party (2008)
    American Centrist Party (2010)
    Center Party (2010)
    National Centrist Party (2011)
American Moderate Party of California (2016)

No other currently political party in recent times has been formed by the merger of various political parties. One could soon add Rocky’s Party, American Delta party that was registered in Delaware and seems to have missed out on ballot access because of missing out on submitting paper work on time. Apparently they too plan on merging into Alliance Party.

Brock could have Independence Party of New
York and Independence Party of Florida on board for his new party and I’m sure that former Independence Party of Minnesota members would want Alliance Party
To look into merging with fellow Minnesotan Brock Pierce. Already the sole representative member of the Independence Party of Minnesota to have been a Senator has endorsed him according to the Daily Beast article. The Alliance Party practice what they preach in terms of merging. Let’s see what comes out of this.

  4. I may add that Brock Pierce’s Chief Strategist for his campaign and good friend, fellow Billionaire Akon wanted to run as President for these elections. At the end he did not perhaps because he is currently concentrating on creating Akon city in Senegal which will be a high tech and solar powered city where the sole legal currency will be his very own crypto currency « Akoin » which would be trader through smart phones. He has good star power so would be interesting to see either him or Mark Cuban run as President through this party.

Akon could then run for President in 2024 under Brock Pierce’s new political party which hopefully would have on board the Alliance Party and why not the Reform party which according to its Facebook page its Chairman, Nick Hensley on 7th July said in his own words that he does not exclude to « future team up or annexation » with political parties like Alliance Party.

  5. The Connecticut Independent Party is not ballot-qualified for president. It could have petitioned for president this year for Brock Pierce, but it didn’t. It would have needed 5,250 signatures.

The Independent Party of Florida considered nominating Brock Pierce, but it didn’t do so. It didn’t nominate anyone.

  6. Center in USA has NOT been holding since 1932

    — more and more commies and fascists.
    —-
PR – to get multiple parties — as in Israel, Netherlands, Germany, etc.

  7. Not sure how serious Brock Pierce is about forming a new party. His candidacy could be a ploy to siphon some votes from Biden in a couple of battleground states. After all, Pierce has personally donated $105,600 to Trump’s reelection campaign while also contributing lavishly to the Republican National Committee.

  8. Brock said he donated that money to Trump and the Republican National Committee so he could get a personal audience with them for the purpose of lobbying them on some issues. Make what you will of this, but this is what he said.

  9. pay to play = aka BRIBERY

See the many convictions – esp of local govt hacks —

    esp with govt contracts.
