According to this story, several Democratic Party legislators in New York, along with some Democratic Party elected officials in New York city, are asking voters to vote for Joe Biden on the Working Families line, instead of the Democratic line. These Democrats are friends of the Working Families Party, which will go off the ballot under the new vote test unless the party polls 2% of the total presidential vote in New York.

I’ll stop calling them puppets when they endorse and nominate third-party candidates for president and not corrupt shills like Biden. They are way too friendly with the Democratic Party in New York.

How can this law be valid? Did the legislature pass it? If not, it cannot be a valid law.
If I were running the Conservative Party (a friend of mine does), I’d file an amicus brief on the side of the other third parties.
This law is clearly aimed at the destruction of the WFP, and that alone ought to invalidate it.

The Legislature passed it because the government desperately needed the budget passed and Cuomo didn’t let anyone know that these rules were in there. The court initially struck them down when they were created by a appointed commission. Cuomo stuck them in the budget the day it was given to the Assembly, and he attached a non-severability clause, so if they had to pass the rules else the state would have no money to combat the crisis they were currently facing. The whole thing was passed within mere hours, and Cuomo’s allies in the Legislature didn’t allow any debate on the budget, so nobody knew about what they were passing until it was too lateβ so no, the Legislature didn’t ππππππ¦ give it’s genuine consent. That’s why this is such an issue now. That is why everyone appearing in that ad did, in fact, vote for the budget (and by extension the ballot rules)
If they love the Working Families Party so much, why don’t they just join it fully instead of being Democrats?
