New Kentucky Registration Data

The Kentucky State Board of Elections released new registration data earlier this month. See this link. The percentages are: Democratic 46.65%; Republican 44.15%; Libertarian .39%; Green .06%; Constitution .03%; Socialist Workers .01%; Reform .004%; independent and miscellaneous 8.71%.

In October 2020, the percentages were: Democratic 46.91%; Republican 44.00%; Libertarian .38%; Green .05%; Constitution .03%; Socialist Workers .01%; Reform .004%; independent and miscellaneous 8.63%.

  2. Interesting to see the SWP there. I can’t imagine they have a big base in Kentucky, but what I’m more surprised about is that they apparently have marginally better organization there than the PSL or the SPUSA.

  3. probably a leftover from the SWP’s “turn to industry” of the late 70ies/80ies where they tried to shift their membership into industrial jobs in areas without a big leftist presence. Does Kentucky have a substantial food industry (apart from bourbon distilleries)? All members of the SWP’s clones in Europe which I did meet were working in meat processing, fish canneries, etc.
