News Story Says New Jersey Libertarians Will Have More Candidates than Usual in 2021 State Election

This Patch story says the New Jersey Libertarian Party expects to have a bigger number of candidates this year than it usually does. In 2021, New Jersey elects a Governor, all of its Assembly members, and all its State Senators.

  1. Unless the law has been changed recently, I believe that the entire state senate is up for election this year, and is every time there is a state senate election. What makes New Jersey a little different, though, is that the term length varies to prevent the districts from becoming too out of date after redistricting, so that rather than having a set two or four year term, the NJ state senate is elected on years ending in 1, 3, and 7, resulting in a two-four-four year term across a given decade.
