    I am in full support of the communications to this body from Dr Kyle Varner and Brian Shields regarding the necessary actions taken by Jilletta Jarvis in regard to saving the Libertarian Party and what it stands for against what may rightly be called a group of MAGA Republican wannabees. I might add that the
    Republican Party leaders are no doubt watching this and will rejoice if you do not recognize that the actions taken by Jilletta Jarvis are justified and it is she and those that are working with her that are the recognized Libertarian Party of New Hampshire. To give aid and comfort to those who are opposed to basic Libertarian principles is to pander to false advertising and send a clear message of surrender in this case to Republican incumbents. When the Libertarian Party was founded we had the scandal of Nixon and the Plumbers. The members who were expelled(who used the flimsiest of pretexts themselves to expell a member) resemble those Plumbers. The actions taken by those opposed to Jilleta Jarvis, including going to outside contacts first not the Libertarian National Committee, and other parties deliberately going over the line with confidential information is a clear indicator of their contempt for any ethics or truth. What Brian Shields and Kyle Varner have sent you says so well what I also say. And Jilleta Jarvis was and is absolutely justified.

    As a founding member of the Libertarian Party and as the first Libertarian Party of New Hampshire chairman I support the actions of Jilleta Jarvis. This time you have a chance(again) to stand for what we founded the Libertarian Party as(and which has been betrayed-now is the time to right it): The Party Of Principle. Not as a mob claiming that their election gives them a supposed status and right to betray those principles. That is what the Republicans and Democrats do!

  37. It’s proven that Conservatives and closely related political ideologies have lower IQs than those of progressives or libertarians. This crosses racial, gender, or any boundary other than political affiliation. The fundamental difference here is that I’m basing my position on fact, which has repeatable experimental evidence. This is not predicated on innate physical characteristics of an individual; instead it is based on the fact that lower IQ individuals associate more with conservative ideological positions. The cause and effect are in fact inverse of what you think I’m saying.

    Conservatives have lower IQs, because lower IQ people associate with conservative ideologies. Not all blacks, nor women, nor any other innate physical characteristic, have lower IQs.   50. The executive committee of the national LP deadlocked 3-3 with one abstention. So for the time being they are continuing to aid and abet the theft of LPNH resources, just in time for Porcfest. The larger Libertarian National Committee will meet Friday and Saturday to discuss further whether the national party should continue to engage in theft.

  52. Bishop-Henchman, Hagan and Raudsep voted for theft and fraud, but Raudsep said it was because he wants the full LNC to vote and not just the EC.

    Spellman, Harlos and Phillips voted in favor of property rights.

  56. That could happen on Friday or Saturday but more likely later. Connecticut and Colorado have instructed their regional representatives to introduce such a motion, but it hasn’t happened yet. It would require 3/4, so will almost certainly fail. The more likely removal will be in Reno next year, when Angela McArdle is running against him.

    Correction on 11:51 post, Longstreth not Raudsep. Raudsep is on the LNC but not it’s EC so did not have a vote last night but will on Friday and Saturday.

Ever since I have been involved in the Libertarian Party – which is quite a while – there have constantly been these internal struggles – not so much over issues, surprisingly – but over messaging and strategy. Should the party have a bold or gradualist message and program? Should the party prioritize candidates for higher or lower office? Should the party have fusion and/or cross endorsements with other parties?

    The current bylaws effectively block fusion and limit cross endorsements, but everything else has been hotly contested, usually within state parties. As a result, many state conventions become zero-sum-games where one side wins and the other side loses.

    Perhaps the party should recognize the inevitability of these types of conflicts, and create a win-win strategy. How could sthat work? A couple of ideas come to mind. IMO,the national party should consider recognizing more than one affiliate in any state. That way, each affiliate could pursue its own strategies and messaging, and compete with other affiliates to see just who can do better. Also, affiliates should be able to choose for themselves whether to cross endorse or nominate fusion candidates.

    Will that result in wasted resources? What about the resources that are lost by people dropping out or withholding support because their preferred strategies are not being pursued?

    Will that result in conflicting messaging? IMO, not any more so than the conflicted messaging that comes from the Democrats and the Republicans. And, maybe the competition will be good.

    My position has been to preserve the status quo until the LNC acts. To date the LNC has not acted. But I am now sponsoring a motion that will allow this committee to decide one way or the other.

    I move an electronic ballot to disaffiliate the New Hampshire Libertarian Party organization of which Mr. Pelletier is interim chair. This way, the Committee is able to cast an up or down vote settling the status of affiliation and whatever the outcome will be an LNC action authorizing staff to do as you’ve requested.

    Since motions from the Chair do not require a second, this electronic ballot will commence immediately. I ask members to vote prior to the Friday meeting.

    Please forward this email to the public list to be made a matter of record – my letter to the LNC about last night’s vote, speaking as a member of LPNH:

    Members of the LNC,

    I am a Lifetime member of the Libertarian Party. I live in NH (having moved here for the Free State Project) and am also a Lifetime member of the LPNH. I believe in freedom and justice and equity with every fiber of my being.

    I am woefully dismayed and hurt by the lack of action last night by the LNC EC to restore owned assets back to the duly-elected LPNH executive committee.

    The vote that transpired has recorded everyone who voted “nay” effectively vote to encourage and support THEFT of state party property! I was beyond confused and betrayed to see this happen before my eyes by people whom call themselves Libertarian.
    I have emailed before in my capacity as an executive committee member of the LPNH. I am emailing again and I wish to again urge all of you to immediately restore assets (website access, member list data, email addresses etc.) back to the duly-elected LPNH executive committee.

    Physical and non-tangible assets such as the bank account, the website, items in storage, etc belong to the LPNH. They are their rightful property. This is not even in dispute, which is what makes last night’s vote so mind-boggling!

    It is naked theft to withhold those items (which are currently in LNC control) such as the website and its member list data from their rightful and duly-elected owners/stewards.

    Ms. Jarvis has admitted herself the new entity she created makes NO claim to the LPNH assets such as the bank account etc. Withholding its member list (via the website) is, too, an asset of the organization. It is no different. In fact it is far more valuable than the items in the LPNH’s bank account.

    Preventing the LPNH from being able to receive monies online (as has been done), is severely impacting the organization’s ability to function, grow, and even exist.

    Porcfest, the biggest libertarian event in the United States, is just around the corner and is being held here in NH. If the LPNH does not constructively have the ability to fundraise and receive new members during this event—an event which draws thousands of people from around the world—due to its website being illegally held hostage by the LNC and not in our control, then the liberty movement is severely hampered.

    In short, your actions (through inaction and your vote last night) are cutting off our organization’s ability to function. The Liberty movement is constructively impeded. The fire of the freedom movement is dwindled by these actions (inaction).

    Why would you wish this upon us??

    If you wish to vote on a future LNC motion to disassociate the LPNH for cause — while I would strongly disagree with such a motion — this is your right. But it is NOT your right to withhold state party assets from the state party. That is theft. That is immoral. That is anti-libertarian. That is WRONG.

    Please do not conflate disassociation with return of owned assets. These are two separate issues and must be seen as such.

    More so –

    I believe that the actions of Ms. Jarvis (the suspended chair of LPNH) were outrageous.

    Without the immediate action of the LNC to restore assets back to the duly-elected LPNH executive committee, this is likely to devolve into a drawn out and ugly legal battle, draining critical resources from the both the LPNH and the LNC that could be FAR FAR FAR better used in the fight the state—to fight for liberty and libertarian candidates!!

    RE JBH:
    Additionally, I would urge you all to immediately remove the LP Chair, Mr. Henchman. His actions in this matter have been beyond despicable and he has lost the confidence of thousands (if not tens of thousands) of Libertarians. He has assisted in willful malfeasance.

    Please open an immediate investigation into his actions and his involvement in this situation.

    This confidence can not be restored. His recent letter disparaging those in NH who were recently elected to the NH executive committee and other LPNH members is unforgivable.

    We have been spending countless hours in NH building up the LP and working to fight for liberty. The libertarians involved in the LPNH are some of the most principled libertarians in the world.

    Messaging:
    A legitimate argument could be made as to whether the messaging from the LPNH is strategically the best approach. And I have mixed feelings about this topic and could be persuaded either way. However, to label the LPNH organization (as a whole) as not libertarian or as bigoted is completely inaccurate, exaggerated, and false. The LPNH Twitter account is not on trial here by the LNC; the entire organization is through discussion of disaffiliation. Please do not conflate the two.

    I condemn bigotry as repugnant and evil.

    But I also condemn THEFT of property as repugnant and evil.

    I also condemn malfeasance as morally wrong; this current situation in the LPNH is a situation of the LNC’s **own making**—via the actions (i.e letters and written support for Jilletta’s “coup”) by JBH. He cannot “stay neutral” while willfully aiding and supporting one “side” of the situation. That, too, is outrageous and morally and legally dubious. The fact he cast a vote last night is ridiculous, as any ethical person would have recused themselves and/or voted to abstain.

    Lastly –

    It is obvious to me that these controversial twitter posts are the main motivation for moving to remove the duly elected LPNH executive committee (none of whom actually created said posts).

    At all times during her tenure as active Chair of the LPNH, Ms. Jarvis was ultimately responsible to ensure that (a) proper procedure was followed for all votes (such as the vote to expel Jackie Perry from the party due to a NAP violation), as well as (b) her role to ensure the Twitter and other social media accounts were managed well (as she held the keys for both). And (c) it was also in her realm of responsibilities as chair to renew the party as a legal entity with the NH state. She told no one on the EC about this need—all of whom were new to the EC and unfamiliar with this logistical requirement. The EC minutes for April, May, and June prove there was no discussion of this topic at any time. And all members of the LPNH EC will attest, under oath, there was never such a request by Ms Jarvis to the Treasurer to perform this function. This assertion by Ms Jarvis (while ultimately irrelevant) is a boldfaced lie.

    It is therefore inexcusable for Ms Jarvis to use any of the above excuses as the reason for abandoning her duties and/or creating her own separate entity.

    The actions in recent days from the suspended LPNH chair and current LP national chair have been a slap in the face. And an abuse of power. It is sickening to those who strive to fight abuses of power—not to see it happen by allies of liberty.

    Libertarians across the country are seeing how great libertarians are being treated and they are outraged. If the LNC does not act immediately and decisively to right this wrong, the Libertarian Party will be damaged for years to come.

    Members of the LNC, you cannot allow the action of the suspended LPNH chair to stand. To allow a chair to unilaterally steal member data, steal party property, create new bylaws (increasing her own tenure in said organization from 1 year to 4 years—a naked power play), and require all current LP members to swear an oath of allegiance to these new bylaws, without vote or proper process, is outrageous.

    What good are rules, principles, and bylaws if a chair can unilaterally disband them at any time?

    Think of the chaos this is going to create in the other Libertarian Party affiliates throughout the country if the LNC fails to correct this injustice. Without your immediate action, confidence will be lost in not only the former LPNH chair and national LP chair, but the entirety of the LNC.

    Please choose your path wisely. This is a pivotal moment for LP National to do the right thing and be on the side of justice, logic, and equity. Please don’t let the wrongful and despicable actions of your chair color your own actions.

    I move that the LNC chair be censured for failing to perform the duties of the chair properly, circumventing our own bylaws, failing in his duty to be impartial, and allowing a vote to take place in regards to stolen property knowing that the legitimate entity of the LPNH and owner of said property was the one with Mr. Peltier as the Chairman.

    On June 7th, Mr. Bishop-Henchman did supply a letter to Mrs. Jarvis, the prior Chair of the LPNH. He has stated that he may or may not have known the intentions, but upon reviewing the situation with Mrs. Jarvis, she made it abundantly clear that she stated her purpose with the letter to Mr. Bishop-Henchman. He effectively stepped in to a state party dispute without approval from the board in which he is beholden to in these types of situations.

    Mr. Bishop-Henchman did knowingly carry out this action without the 3/4 approval of the LNC for dissafiliation that is stated in our bylaws.

    On 6/15 in an address to this board, Mr. Bishop-Henchman showed his bias when he publicly attacked an entire faction of this party, effectively drawing ideological lines in the sand, and shutting down his responsibility to neutrality. In the same address to this body, he stated that Mrs. Jarvis was expecting there to be a fight over the party’s digital assets BEFORE he gave her the letter. Further proof that he knew what the letter was for, and was completely sidestepping our processes.

    During the 6/15 LP Excom meeting, Mr. Bishop-Henchman stated that he didn’t know who was or wasn’t the official entity of the LPNH, and voted not to return stolen property to our own party members. Just a few hours later, Mr. Bishop-Henchman put forth a motion to dissafiliate the entity which has Mr. Peltier as the Chair effectively showing that he did understand who the rightful affiliate was in the LPNH, and becoming a party to theft and fraud violating the pledge he signed when he became a member of this party we were elected to govern.

    The Chairman has a fundamental misunderstanding of this organization, in that it is not led by only a chair. It belongs to the membership, and the ELECTED governing body.

    Furthermore, the state does not dictate who is and isn’t our recognized state affiliates. They do not tell us who and who not to disaffiliate. This bit of information has been nothing more than a red herring.

    For these reasons, this board MUST publicly censure Mr. Bishop-Henchman so that the thousands of dues paying party members of this party we were elected to represent can see that we do not stand against our own processes and principles.

    Comrades, a few thoughts on the sentiment of “disaffiliate everyone and let them settle it out – there are bad actors on both sides”, and why such an idea, while understandable, is not a good course for us.

    I’ve seen some concerns people have with the elected board of the LPNH, and although *most* of those people decry Ms. Jarvis’ actions, they usually have a variant of “but the other side was so bad – I understand why she took that action!” Now that they see there is little stomach for the LNC to arbitrarily overturn an elected board, there are calls for disaffiliating both groups. It’s not at all clear what could constructively happen at that point, but even if a clear path could be seen, it strikes me as a wrong-headed idea – though I originally shared it to some extent.

    It’s not the national party’s part to decide who runs the NH party. We need to restore the original elected board, and go from there. If you think their behavior requires disaffiliation, we can deal with that as a separate issue.

    Otherwise we are rewarding the nuclear strategy that Jarvis tried. That’s a terrible precedent.

    So, we need to do the first thing – restore the relationship of the national party with the elected board of the LPNH operating under the member-chosen bylaws of that party. After that, if members have concerns that rise to the level of disaffiliation (and I think we need a very high bar there, to be clear, and I don’t think it’s been met), that can be considered as a new action. To use Jarvis’ clearly improper actions as a springboard to punishing a faction or certain individuals is to essentially declare ourselves on the side of expediency over process and legitimacy.

I have attached executive committee minutes showing the passing of a motion to suspend Jilletta Jarvis and installing Nolan Pelletier as acting chair.

    Furthermore, I am writing to request that all administrative roles regarding our CRM, website, and email address be transferred to Nolan immediately.

    We are not interested in involving the state in this manner; however, as a last resort, we are currently negotiating retainers with several law firms in the event that our digital assets are not returned to us in an expedited manner.

    I am writing you to request a letter of attestation by the party Chair, Joe Bishop-Henchman, to acknowledge that you are aware that Nolan Pelletier has assumed the role of interim chair of the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire, the LNC’s sole qualifying organization in New Hampshire, and responsible for the day-to-day operation of that political party at the state level, and that the state party organization is part of the official structure of the national party. I have attached executive committee minutes showing the passing of a motion to suspend Jilletta Jarvis and installing Nolan Pelletier as acting chair.

    Furthermore, I am writing to request that all administrative roles regarding our CRM, website, and email address be transferred to Nolan immediately.

    We are not interested in involving the state in this manner; however, as a last resort, we are currently negotiating retainers with several law firms in the event that our digital assets are not returned to us in an expedited manner.

  74. The merit of Mr Winger’s open comments policy is amply justified in the present controversy. We are seeing a lot of stuff here from everyone not seen in many places outside of party circles.

  75. There are several motions going on or proposed regarding the matter. If anyone wants to follow along for themselves and dispute whether I am summarizing/characterizing them here correctly the LNC list is at

    1) Joe Bishop-Henchman has put forth a motion
    “Motion: To disaffiliate the New Hampshire Libertarian Party organization of which Mr. Pelletier is interim chair based on their violating the Statement of Principles.”
    As chair, he did not need co-sponsors for this motion. So far, the votes have all been either no, or abstain. There is also an objection that the motion is too vague in listing the causes for disaffiliation and thus out of order.

    2) Joshua Smith has put forward a motion to censure the chair. It does not yet have co-sponsors. The main objection so far seems to be that the motion should be to remove, not just censure. Mr. Smith has said he would like to do both.

    3) At least two states, Connecticut and Colorado, have passed motions asking their regional representatives to move to remove the chair (JBH). The representative of the region which includes Connecticut as well as New Hampshire has posted that he has no intention of doing so. The representative of the region including Colorado has said he will be discussing this with his constituents.

    4)Executive Committee members of the (Pelletier) LPNH have asked JBH for a letter affirming that Pelletier is the interim chair of the LNC’s only affiliate in NH, similar to what he provided Jarvis on the 7th and has said in subsequent communication he “couldn’t not” provide. He has instead directed staff to continue to recognize the Jarvis Coup affiliate until the LNC votes otherwise. At the same time he has made a motion to disaffiliate the (Pelletier) LPNH. Such a motion would be out of order if that was not already the current LNC affiliate. Given that they have not disaffiliated the affiliate at this time, or done anything to affiliate the new organization Jarvis created, how can the LNC treat the Jarvis organization as an affiliate while it votes on the disaffiliation of the existing affiliate?

    5) Harlos has appealed the ruling of the chair that his motion for disaffiliation is sufficiently specific. She does not yet have enough cosponsors, although no one has argued against her.

    6) Hogarth argument (reposted 1:01 pm above) has several people agreeing, and none so far disagreeing. It has not taken the form of a motion, I would guess because the time for voting on motions allowed under bylaws is longer than the already scheduled LNC e-meetings for Friday and Saturday.

    At around 9:50pm, after Outright member Gus Bookbinder gave commentary during the live Zoom meeting of the LNC, the individual known for the infamous NH tweets made a comment: “100% guaranteed this guy would suck my cock if given the opportunity”.

    At 10:38pm, Gus posted the following on Twitter: “Hi @jeremykauffman… I’m a minor, and you’re a pedophile. have a nice day!” Followed by a screenshot of the Zoom comments referenced earlier.

    In response to Gus making it clear that he was in fact a minor and the illicit sexual advances of Mr. Kauffman were unwanted, Mr. Kaufman responds: “Libertarians don’t believe in a federal age of consent”.

    He then shares Gus’ original tweet to make additional lewd remarks: “if you’re mature enough to participate in the decision of who rules me, you’re mature enough to suck my cock”.

    After accusations of pedophilic oriented virtual sexual harassment, he doubles and triples down.

    Esteemed members of the Libertarian National Committee:

    The ongoing situation in New Hampshire has captured much attention lately. Regrettably, both action and inaction on the part of the parties involved, to include the LNC and its Executive Committee, have forced many to divert time and attention away from our important work in Ohio once more to face down a situation we should have never encountered on the national stage.

    We all rely on the faithful, full, and neutral application of due process and procedure afforded by our governing documents at every level. Already, actions taken in the name of the Committee by some individuals and subordinate entities have flown in the face of this foundational need. The Bylaws are clear on the proper procedure and options available in the case the Committee take umbrage with an Affiliate or its agents’ behavior. The Party is to promote the growth and activity of the Affiliates. Above all, none of this procedural, technical, and administrative jiggery-pokery has been demonstrative of good faith toward the Affiliate Parties, jointly, severally, or otherwise.

    We empathize deeply with the challenges faced and frustrations experienced by our colleagues from New Hampshire, as do many of our peers throughout the country. To be sure, extremes of behavior from all those involved have reached truly shocking levels. However, the choice to deliberately set alight a dispute over the proper status of an Affiliate is an incredibly grave one. When the Party is willfully thrust into this position by its own officers, their act of having done so is utterly inexcusable.
    It remains incumbent per the Bylaws upon the entire LNC to dispose of claims to affiliation. It is deeply distasteful to willfully force the hand of the National Committee in this way, but it is a far greater offense to try and circumvent this authority. The Affiliate in New Hampshire has already taken steps to investigate and hold to account those within their organization who took such subversive actions. It is time for the LNC to do the same.

    The mandate in the bylaws for the Party to support its Affiliates is clear. The power of administrative decisions to grant and revoke access to the data which is the lifeblood of an Affiliate’s operations cannot be understated. The decisions to remove this and other support, to include clear acknowledgement of the established Affiliate, even and especially in the face of conflict is absolutely absurd. To provide the whole of the most critical digital assets for a modern organization comes with a significant responsibility to behave cautiously and conservatively with both the tools and their data. Until and unless the appropriate actions per the rules are taken by the entirety of the LNC, its agents and subordinates exercise no authority to arbitrarily cease support toward, let alone redirect it away from, a recognized Affiliate. There are no recognized mechanisms of cause provided for staff to act unilaterally per the Policy Manual in this respect.

    Beyond the harm to the New Hampshire Affiliate as is presently recognized due to the action to eliminate critical support assets, the entire credibility of the LNC’s affiliate support efforts are thrown into question without prompt action. These digital projects have been overwhelmingly funded by members and continue to be prioritized based on the specific directed generosity of members and the Affiliates themselves. The Committee ought not expect, nor should the membership afford, the trust and goodwill for such activities to continue without swift action to correct the overreaches which have stripped a duly recognized Affiliate of the ability to fulfill its purpose.

    The extreme damage being caused by those elected, appointed, hired, or otherwise operating under the auspices of the LNC’s authority must be stopped, and it is solely the power of the Committee itself to do so. Censure and reprimand should be seen as the ethical and moral minimum consequence for anyone demonstrating complicity, as should further action be taken against those who have acted capriciously.
    For the LNC or its agents to openly play kingmaker within a state to control the viability of Affiliates is reprehensible. We stand on the edge of a potential violation of trust and faith in the LNC, the magnitude of which cannot be overstated, should the Committee fail to correct course, apply the rules as written, and work strictly within the frameworks that have been established. I strongly urge the entirety of the body to use all available means to correct the wrongs, mitigate the damage, hold to account those responsible, and thereby return order to our party so that we all may return to the eternally demanding work of liberty posthaste.

    Imagine if when someone stole your Gmail account, you had to go appeal to Google’s board to get access back. You had to lobby board members, they divided into factions, shouted at one another, defamed one another publicly, while none of them agreed precisely how to verify whether it was stolen or you were a thief or even whether the company should do anything at all, and Google ended up having a shareholder split over it.

    What’s the bigger problem there: That someone’s e-mail account got hacked, or that Google doesn’t have any process besides throwing a bunch of top-level bureaucrats in a room to resolve this and self-destructs their company?

    As Libertarians that are working to build a professional and functional party, if we are going to host web services for affiliates – in this case LPNH’s CRM and web hosting – we need to act like a hosting company and hold ourselves to the same professional practices any hosting company would. Having a politicized, factional board decide how lost accounts and recoveries work is not the path to doing that, and fighting over “who wins” in this dispute operates on the faulty (and frankly not libertarian) principle that centralized bureaucracy is a good way to handle IT access issues.

    If the LNC wants to move forward in a productive, professional way and display maturity, the next steps need not be controversial, divisive, or theatric:

    Commission the IT committee and legal council to create industry-standard terms of services and processes that govern how accounts are created, provided, administered, recovered, and disabled. Onboard affiliates using these services under the policy.
    Refer the current matter – for which there is no process – to legal council to determine what best practices are to handle this situation given the lack of a clear process, with council examining existing contracts, documents, evidence, and laws on digital assets to determine where there is potential liability and what the path to least likely legal action is. Adopt the recommendation to maximize the organization’s compliance with its consenting contracts, policies, and state laws.

    When there is no process, no standard, and no analyzed legal context, the LNC’s members have no basis to make any decisions except prejudices and politics and theatrics – which is what we have seen for days now and doesn’t show signs of stopping. This will not result in a professional and practical resolution regardless of who “wins” and is an embarrassment to everyone. As the advocates that free markets and capitalism provide us the best answers to hard problems, we should follow our own principles and adopt best practices that every private online service business does, instead of acting out the dysfunctional centrally managed partisanship of government that we are fighting to end.

    This will decide not only the future of LPNH’s digital assets, but determine whether the hard work of the folks who built the CRM services and web hosting is able to be trusted and used with confidence by affiliates, or affiliates start deciding that it is not worth the cost of “call the LNC and create a national incident” being their IT support plan. As someone who works in IT and wants to see our IT volunteers succeed, please push forward professional policies that will help their work shine instead of escalating division and politicizing their work that will damage confidence and discourage future volunteers.

  115. JBH has now said that he will restore LPNH access to their data as soon as all votes are cast on the disaffiliation motion. At the time he said that, region 7 had not voted, but subsequently they did. He said he would vote as soon as he sees that vote cast. However, Caryn Ann Harlos has clarified she is withholding her vote due to her point of order regarding the disaffiliation motion (that it’s too vague in listing causes). If so, ironically, she could be the reason LPNH still doesn’t have its data when Porcfest kicks off.

    The events of this week have been extremely difficult for so many people. There’s alot of anger, fear, rumors, and lack of understanding, accusations and drama. This is why I called for an independent investigation, and for a decision from a neutral party. We are destroying each other instead of fighting against the Omnipotent state.

    Now more than ever we need to be compassionate, now more than ever we need to educate, now more than ever we need love.

    I respect anyone who follows their beliefs and convictions, even when we disagree. At the end of the day each of us must live with our own decisions and choices, and we should always be true to ourselves.

    I’m going to be very honest right now. I’m sadend and heartbroken over the way people are treating each other.     First I would like to quickly clear up some assumptions that keep being made.

    No one has been given access to any financial data of a single member of New Hampshire. Civi does not store financial data.
    No additional individuals were given access to Civi. Access was turned off, not provided.
    No physical property was ever taken by me, I was not involved in the Southern NH affiliate, other than from being in the State Committee as I am not in the Counties that that affiliate covers.
    The Chair of the LPNH has sole responsibility for the operational tools, as Stephen Nass pointed out in his statement, I could turn them off at any time and I did.
    While internet access is extremely limited at Porcfest, making it difficult for Civi to be useful and no table being available for setting up a stand there, this truly should not have hampered fundraising as the payment processor used has an ability to accept payments directly through their site, so I was not interfering with the ability of the Treasurer to take money.

    This all said, I had expected the LNC to work quickly and fairly to resolve this issue. This does not seem possible at this point. I do not want to hold anything from the membership so I have provided access to the digital assets to Nolan Pelletier and look forward to the formal investigation into this matter, hoping that it may be conducted with much more decorum as is befitting our elected representative in National.

    This will be my last email to you on the subject. I am Sasha Cohen, one of less than 250 elected Libertarians, and a member of both my state and the national parties.

    I cannot stomach this any more. The LNC has made it abundantly clear that electing libertarians is not the priority of the body, by refusing to disaffiliate a state which is actively hampering those efforts by utilizing shock messaging, welcoming bigots, and purging members who stand in their way.

    I joined this party because I seek a world set free in our lifetime, and the party is a vehicle to advance that goal. That vehicle has slashed tires, and is on fire, and the LNC stands by holding the fire extinguisher and refusing to use it. I will not be consumed by the flames any longer, and will choose to get out and walk.

    If at the conclusion of this weekends meeting there has not been a major step taken to rectify this situation (disaffiliation of NH), I will be issuing a press release on Monday morning informing the local media that this elected official is no longer a member of the national Libertarian Party.

    We can have bigots, or we can have elected officials, the choice is yours.

    The LPNH former EC members, the Mises Caucus, and their apologists have been lying to the LNC regarding LPNH property being “stolen” from storage.

    Here are the facts:

    1) The storage unit does not even belong to the LPNH. It is leased by a former state chair who has been letting the LPNH use it.

    2) The contents of the storage unit were picked up in advance of the Southern NH LP local affiliate convention scheduled for Sunday, June 13th. The LPNH former EC members knew that the SNHLP would be using the AV equipment etc. during our convention.

    3) The Southern NH LP local affiliate convention was abruptly cancelled by the venue. We’ve been told it’s because they “received threats.” Given that the Mises Caucus is the only group that had something to gain by forcing the local convention to be cancelled, we can guess who is behind those threats.

    4) When the SNHLP volunteers tried to return the items to the storage unit after the convention was cancelled, they discovered that the lock had been changed, thus preventing them from immediately returning the items.

    5) The former EC members were reminded Saturday evening that the items had been picked up for the SNHLP convention. They still chose to file a false police report on Sunday morning claiming that the items had been stolen, from a storage unit that doesn’t even belong to them.

    6) All of the items are now back in the storage unit, yet they continue to lie about “stolen property” to anyone who will listen.

  270. I was a dues paying member of the Libertarian Party for 28 years. At the time free market capitalism and natural rights were the foundation of my politics. Over the past few years my thinking changed.

    I now think that pragmatism is better than philosophical consistency. Sometimes free market capitalism is the way to go. At other times a collectivist solution is better than individual rights.

    It all depends on the situation. 100% Capitalism and individual rights are just as wrong as 100% Socialism and collective rights. Everything involving human beings is completely subjective. There must be a mix of solutions. Absolute right or wrong exists only in mathematics.

  318. Fact Checker: I was a dues paying member of the Libertarian Party because I used to believe in Free Market Capitalism and Natural Rights. I used to agree wholeheartedly with Ayn Rand. My thinking about all of that has changed.

    I love my job. I perform the same duties as any Night Auditor at any Hotel. Cleaning rooms, maintaining the pool, landscaping, pest control, or cleaning the coffee pot are not part of my job description. My employer does not expect me to do more than check people in, answer the phone, make reservations, run the Night Audit, and check people out in the morning. What happens outside of my shift from 11PM to 7AM is not my concern.

  320. Jack: We only provide coffee from 5AM to 10AM. In the past 12 years that I have worked at the Motel 6 not one single person has asked me to clean the coffee pot. The coffee pot is cleaned each day before I even start my shift.

    Yes my boss knows exactly what I do or do not do. He is extremely happy with my performance.

    I make the coffee fresh each morning from a pot that is cleaned hours before I come to work at 11PM. I usually need to make two pots, sometimes three between 5AM and when I leave at 7AM.

    I may be the rude old man. I would need specifics to be sure. I tell the guests the truth instead of what they want to hear. Many people, much like yourself, can’t handle the truth. Some people mistakenly confuse honesty with rudeness.

    As for the other complaints that is the responsibility of the General Manager and has nothing to do with me. It is his job to fix any problems. My job is to report problems to the General Manager. If the problem doesn’t get fixed, then it is the fault of the General Manager, not me.

    I have noticed that you refuse to acknowledge all the good comments from the guests. The good comments heavily outnumber the bad ones. But that wouldn’t fit your failed attempt to smear me. Nice try. Swing and a miss.
