Text is Now Available for Congressional Bill to Require Speaker to be an Elected Member of the House

As reported previously, Congressmember Brendan Boyle has introduced a measure in Congress to require that the Speaker be an elected member of the House. It is H.Res.537, which can be read here.

What Walter said. Would have to be renewed every two years at the start of a new House. AND, since many think this is to prevent You Know Who from being named Speaker in the case of the GOP regaining the majority, it is therefore essentially nugatory.
