Andrew Yang Plans to Call His New Party the “Forward Party” — 30 Comments

  1. Duverger’s Law will doom any/all significant third parties in USA. Including centrist.
    Presently the Reform/Alliance is struggling.
Maybe make a brief splash, like Perot.
Flash in the pan at best.

  2. Top Six/Level the Playing Field is the remedy.
Does Yang plan to get the four significant third parties on all ballots?
    Reform/Alliance/Forward one of the four?
    Now THAT could happen!

  3. The Ashgabat Penis Party plans to reach out to the Forward Party to form an international coalition.

  4. I have used the phrase ‘Not Left, Not Right, just moving Forward’ on some Libertarian outreach material going back to the very early ’80’s. Will see if Yang uses that or similar wording.

  5. And here’s even another waste of time. Whenever someone says they’re starting a new political party I just think it’s vanity project. Why support it?

  6. I can’t vote for a guy who wants to be President of the United States but he won’t even wear a neck tie.

  7. Does Yang have the $$$ to hire good ballot access lawyers NOT SCOTUS brain rotted since 1968 ???

  8. More —

    Outer/Inner Space Party ???

    Universal Party ???

    Smoke Dope Party ???

Simple – Yang Cult Party ???

  9. I’m starting the backward party. We need to roll the clock back on the so called enlightenment, women’s lib, emancipation, and many other things.

  10. Why doesn’t he call it: “The I’m a Tech-Neoliberal Trying to Sucker You with a Libertarian Version of Basic Income Party”? Or the “I Don’t Like Palestinians Party?”

  11. Yang a fan of Univ of WI football team ???

***Forward*** on team helmets — RED/white uniforms.

  12. Interesting to see if the Forward Party will have ballot access in New York. Because of Andrew Yang’s fame and New York origin, that is quite possible. Will be interesting to see if he links up with Alliance Party and Reform party to name a common candidate for the next Presidential election or supports the Libertarian Party’s candidate.
