On May 1, the voters of Austin, Texas, passed Proposition E, providing that in future elections for city office, ranked choice voting will be used. It passed with 58% of the vote. Thanks to Rob Richie for this news. The measure can’t take effect until it is determined that it doesn’t conflict with state law.

See the CA LP Porcupine program that the Chair uses to block out alternative voices by using single-winner election districts under RCV for elections of offices and approval voting (slate voting) for at-large seats which the current Chair defends as “following the rules” (i.e. LNC = systemic racism).
