13 Presidential Candidates May Qualify for Colorado Ballot — No Comments

  1. I’m slightly surprised that ELD found 9 supporters in Colorado.

Another note of interest: Alan Keyes apparently didn’t notice this deadline and was unable to rally his 17 supporters to get him on the ballot.

  2. Surprised that McEnulty is listed as Unaffiliated instead of New American Independent Party

  3. Wonder if he couldn’t use the name NAIP since the Constitution Party in Colorado is the “American Constitution Party”

  4. Keyes’ people are reporting on his website that they filed the paperwork to get him on the ballot. If he’s not, that would be worth a laugh!

  5. Here’s an alternate ballot label for EL-D: The Republic Party.

Although, I wonder if they won’t just kick her off entirely for trying to use the Republican label. Another possible alternate label, to lure in unsuspecting voters “The Ron Paul Party”

Bradford Lyttle ran for President a few times, but this appears to be his first appearance on a ballot.

As for what a Heartquake is.. it’s much more than just a Vanessa Williams song. It’s also a word that appearently talks about post-partisan leadership. I was looking at candidates on the FEC, and Allen sorta stuck out since he had $3K on hand. So I’m not stunned that he filed here.

  6. I just double-checked with the Colorado Secretary of State’s office and they said:

“Our office has not received anything from the Keyes campaign.”

  7. The Alan Keyes ballot access board includes a post from Tom Hoefling noting a Keyes filing. Granted, that would require an actual VP candidate, which Keyes doesn’t have yet.

Charles Jay and the BTP are also claiming to have filed. Then again, they also claim that they’re going to seek access in Utah. Which may not be possible right now.

  8. Ok, the post isn’t from Tom Hoefling, but it claims that Tom Hoefling is handling the Keyes efforts in Colorado and that paperwork was filed.

  9. If he gets on the ballot (IF) it will be because every Tom/Dick/Harry can (and does) get on the ballot there. Look at the ones on there now and the past! And the few Keyes followers brag about him possibly getting on the ballot there! Sh*t, he cannot even get one person to agree to be his VP. He is a joke and an embarrassment to the political system.
