On August 6, the Federal Election Commission released its book Federal Elections 2008. It contains the number of votes cast by state for each presidential candidate. It also contains the number of votes received by each candidate for Congress in 2008. The link to the on-line version is here. Thanks to Thomas Jones for this news.
Genius math folks on this list — take note in the gerrymander stats of —
1. the UNEQUAL votes for each gerrymander area winner, and
2. the UNEQUAL total votes in each gerrymander area.
— resulting in the EVIL indirect minority rule in electing both houses of the Congress and the Prez/VP — since 1789. [really EVIL for the U.S.A. Senate]
REAL Democracy NOW —
1. Total Votes / Total Seats = EQUAL votes for each winner = P.R.
2. Approval Voting for electing NONPARTISAN executive and judicial officers — vote for 1 or more, highest win (who have the highest *approval/acceptable* votes).
