Lawsuit over Identity of the Officers of the American Independent Party Moves Ahead

Ever since 2008, the American Independent Party of California has had two sets of rival state officers, and the dispute over the identity of the legal officers has been in state court.  On September 1, Solano County Superior Court Judge William C. Harrison held a hearing in the case, King v Robinson, FCS 034452, and issued some procedural rulings.

The judge ruled that Solano County is a proper venue for this lawsuit, and he directed the defendants (individuals who supported the presidential nomination of Alan Keyes in 2008) to answer the Complaint.  Once the answer is filed, the case can move to the merits.

  1. I trust the Court will settle this once and for all. If both sides would really act like Chritians, instead of profess to be Christians, they would have settled this long ago.

America need the AIP. It is time – whomever are the legal officers – to get on with the business of saving what is left of this consitutional independent republic.

Whomever are the legal officers, need to let “bygones be bygones,” unite with all who share true AIP values, and work together. United, they could accomplish so much.

  2. The side I support are good Christians, though Grundmann goes overboard in his rhetoric at times.

The other side has been so nasty and vindictive in their personal attacks and attitude, these people are just asking for God to strike them with lightning.

Ed Noonan was the worst state chairman that they had, he was constantly attacking and expelling members of the AIP rather then building the party; he even made the false claim that the CP never elected any candidates to office ever, which was a total lie. He is nothing but a man that can’t get along with anybody that doesn’t see his way and throws temper-tantrums over nothing; I sometimes wonder if he’s going through menopause?

However, while Noonan touts himself being LDS, his actions makes him unworthy of being in good standing with the church, and he will be in trouble in the afterlife big time if he has gone into the Temple recently.

If you ever read the comments on IPR from Mark Seidenberg and Don Lake on any of the AIP articles, you’ll see what I mean; Mark even posts under phony names as well making false claims against Chelene Nightingale and others.
Of course he has done the same here too.

  3. By the time this issue is settled, one group could have been collecting signatures to get their party on the ballot. Why all this hijacking.

  4. Let’s hope that no matter which side wins, all of the AIP members will attend the same meetings and participate in the same process for picking the party officers.

  5. By the time this issue is settled, one group could have been collecting signatures to get their party on the ballot. Why all this hijacking.

= It takes 80,000+ signatures to get a new party on the ballot, FYI.

  6. The Keyes side had a commitment to put the convention endorsed candidate on the ballot. If they wanted to separate they needed to do so after that. It was a case of I’m taking my ball and going home. The Alaskan Independence Party keep their commitment even tough the supported Keyes at the convention and are not even a Constitution Party affiliate. It would still bother me if the Keyes faction left but the would after the election or disaffiliated but the would have showed character.

  7. It takes 90,000 registered members to get a new party on the California ballot. That is far worse than what comment #6 said. The law requires either 90,000 registrants or 900,000 signatures. Those numbers will probably go higher after November 2010.

  8. The corruption faction of the AIP, the Alan Keyes/ Mark Robinson criminal gang, have attempted to use every possible technicality imaginable in addition to literally running from legal service in order to save themselves from an actual jury trial which would instantly show the fraud, lying, and corruption which they have engaged in from the first second of their attack upon the AIP. The end of their criminal enterprise is approaching.

Don J. Grundmann, D.C. Chairman American Independent Party, California branch of the Constitution Party

  9. Running an unqualified person for governor no matter which side you are on is a losing proposition. Couldn’t you find a viable candidate for CA governor, instead of an activist with a ton of baggage? Thats why third parties get looked over. Chelene Nightingale, though I suppose the best these groups could muster, will be roadkill come november 3rd. But, if fantasy is the game dujour for you folks have at it. Personally, anyone that filed for bankruptcy, should be working on their “own” backyard instead of trying to “mow” someone elses…

  10. Cody – ” nancy R ” is just Mark Seidenberg writing, yet again, under another fake name.

Don J. Grundmann, D.C. Chairman American Independent Party, California branch of the Constitution Party

  11. The other guy that uses the poorer grammar though, isn’t Seidenberg, but Don Lake- he’s the one leaving all those sexually suggestive BS on IPR.
Lake is more a wacko then Seidenberg is.
