  1. OHMYGOODNESS SOMEBODY GOT TWO PERCENT IN A POLL!!!!! STOP THE PRESSES AND PROCLAIM IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS!!!

Ummm…who cares? If you get 2% in a poll, that means you have little to no support at all. You also have to factor in the margin of error. Yes, I think Gary Johnson should be included in the debates. But seriously, two percent is not a big deal at all. The supposed “uptick” that the story speaks of is a one percent increase. Need I say more?

  2. The fact that he and Fred Karger are excluded from the debates is wrong, but nothing us independents, third partiers, and write-ins haven’t been dealing with for years.

  3. Looks like my state’s former governor is being “Nadered” by his own party. Perhaps he’ll buy a ticket to the debate and be escorted out and get some press that way. Either way, if the Reps ARE including two candidates who are polling at a whopping 1%, I’d say that’s unfairness at it’s political worst and I smell a religious test rat.

  4. Gary Johnson and Fred Karger are certainly the more…entertaining and (sometimes) amazingly sane Republican candidates. In the age of technology, I really do not see why these Republican debates, could not, at least, let these candidates answer questions via teleconferancing (sic) or some such. I would think that advances in technology would make debates more inclusive, not less.

  5. I’m not really sure if I understand the first comment. I don’t think the big deal is that he has a whopping 2%, I think that what qualifies the candidates to be in the debate is polling numbers. If Johnson is included in the debate then nobody whose numbers are lower than Johnson should be included.

  7. Gary Johnson should be in the debates. As should Buddy Roemer.

Fred Karger shouldn’t be in the debates though. He’s never held office. I know Herman Cain hasn’t held office either but I think it’s wrong that he’s allowed in. Either both or them or neither.

  8. Also Roy Moore should be allowed to debate although I think even he forgot he was running.
