As of mid-day, October 21, only two individuals have filed to be on the New Hampshire Democratic presidential primary, Barack Obama and Darcy G. Richardson. However, filing doesn’t close until October 28.
Darcy Richardson is the author of six books, all non-fiction books involving U.S. political history. He lives in Jacksonville, Florida, and has recently worked in the financial services industry. He has extensive political experience, and he frequently blogs at UncoveredPolitics.
Good luck, Darcy. Do you plan to campaign in any other states? If so, will you be running in the Democratic Party process, some other party process, or as an independent?
Darcy has yet to file with the FEC. If he has raised or spent over $5000, he would be in violation of the law if he doesn’t file with the FEC soon.
It will be interesting to see how many votes he will get, whether or not he campaigns. If he pulls in enough votes from Obama in the Democratic Party, it would increase the chances that a non-duopoly candidate might be successful. I too wish him well.
