It’s about freakin’ time. Libertarians and others have been lobbying for ballot access relief in Oklahoma for 35 plus years. I’m glad to see the Oklahoma legislature and Governor finally did the right thing here.
Prohibition Party may have a plan to take control of the Independent label in that state and help build up a Independent Party of Louisiana. The party’s PNC will make that decision by the time of their convention, and any candidates who want to run for a state, congressional, legislative or legal office will have opportunity to do so.
The Prohibition Party is willing to pay the one-time fee and have control over the Independent Label.

Well, it only took forty years after having the legs of political competition broken to be handed a crutch. Perhaps it will be easier in the coming years to get more reform passed.
