Ohio Republican Party Paid $592,000 in Legal Fees to Keep Ohio Libertarian Gubernatorial Nominee off Primary Ballot in 2014

The Ohio Libertarian Party’s lawsuit over whether its gubernatorial nominee should have been on the 2014 Libertarian primary ballot is still proceeding, and discovery is still underway. It had already been revealed that the Republican Party of Ohio had paid $300,000 to the attorneys for the individual who challenged the Libertarian gubernatorial primary petition. New information has recently emerged that the party actually paid $592,000.

The new figure would not have emerged, if the Republican consultant for the Republican gubernatorial campaign had not brought forth the new information in his own defense. He and the Kasich gubernatorial campaign had been charged with not reporting these legal fees in campaign disclosure reports. The consultant than revealed that he and the Kasich campaign had not paid the $592,000; instead the Ohio Republican Party had paid them.

Last year, the state chair of the Ohio Republican Party had testified that the Republican Party had nothing to do with the challenge. See this story.

  1. The Libertarian Party continually harasses the Republican and Democratic Parties with vile claims and lawsuits.

It’s no wonder that they are continually being targeted with retaliatory actions.

If it weren’t for the polarization by these Libertarian Party perpetrators, then the unity between the whole could be cemented.

Instead these Libertarian continue to cause hostilities and conflicts, investing more into fighting than working together as the 100%, while the true leaders in the Democratic and Republican Parties (and a few thinking Libertarians and Greens) are working together for the good of the whole.

Are you ready to see the 100% synchronized for free, fair and equal elections for uniting the USA as one?

Believe it or not, the 9th USA Parliament has been THE “United Coalition” for 20 consecutive years.

Visit the site which Google.com had tried to imitate, but failed, when they tried to capture the “juice” by imitating our founder’s name in October 1997 (Joogle: “Look what they did to my name, Ma.”), the 9th USA Parliament:

  2. “Polarization” means “concentration about opening extremes of groups or interests formerly ranged on a continuum.”

Let’s review what happened in 2014. The Ohio Libertarian Party was a qualified party, with its own primary. Only one person filed a petition to be on the Ohio Libertarian primary ballot for Governor. The Republican Party and the John Kasich campaign searched for any individual who had voted in the 2012 Libertarian primary who would challenge the 2014 primary petition. They found someone who knew almost nothing about politics, and had him sign the challenge. The federal court judge described him as a “dupe.” The dupe’s challenge was filed so late, it was then impossible for any other Libertarian to file as a write-in candidate in the Libertarian primary, so the party was left with no gubernatorial candidate. Because the law required a party to poll 2% for Governor, the party went off the ballot.

James Ogle asserts that the Libertarian Party started a fight with the Republican Party. He gives no basis for why he thinks this. Maybe he can explain in a new comment. To my knowledge, then Libertarian Party has never sued the Republican Party. But the Libertarian Party and the Republican Party have been co-plaintiffs together, on the same side, in several campaign finance lawsuits, starting in 1976. They were also co-plaintiffs together in several lawsuit over political party freedom of association.

  3. Richard… James Ogle lives in a fantasy world of total nonsense. Why give him any credence at all? The only difference between his crappola and playing fantasy football is that you can actually get something from fantasy football!

  4. Again — How many Trillions will the Donkeys / Elephants to respectively get Elephant / Donkey clone parties on the Nov 2016 ballots — to

DIVIDE and CONQUER – i.e. esp. for tyrant Prez/VP.

At immediate stake — about 10-15 percent of the GDP — i.e. more or less statism — taxes and spending for the usual suspect special interest LOOTER gangs.

“[…] the Libertarian Party and the Republican Party have been co-plaintiffs together, on the same side, in several campaign finance lawsuits, starting in 1976. They were also co-plaintiffs together in several lawsuit over political party freedom of association.”

    Me:

Richard, your concept of unity in a law suit is not the unity of the 100% that I am promoting.

If you are for uniting with the 100% then let’s do it. But to try to unite with someone from Monterey County simply because the USA Parliament’s United Coalition’s vote counter is in Monterey County, won’t get your unity with the 100%.

If you pick only “ballot qualified candidates” while excluding all others, that isn’t uniting with the 100%.

The USA Parliament has been united with everyone and we haven’t deleted nor removed anyone from participating since founded in 1995.

Simply claiming that you’re united because you are in a lawsuit doesn’t qualify as taking down the road blocks to the 100%.

The USA Parliament has been doing this for 20 consecutive years. We don’t permit any yes/no ballot questions nor single-winner districts.

The Libertarian Party bosses have never used pure proportional representation. They are using failed voting systems and failed polices, and they are led by dividers who use plurality voting.

  6. Richard – Can’t you put some sort of word limit on James Ogle. If he really were for “unity” he would be anything other than Republican (which he is) or Democratic. These comment sections should be for those who have a real world concern for ballot access! I’m sure James Ogle is probably a nice guy but his “fantasy” politics just don’t contribute.

  7. Uniting with a lawyer in a lawsuit is not unity.

That is not and building inclusion with the 100%.

The USA Parliament has been welcoming the 100%, attracting and identifying team players based on pure proportional representation (votes cast and kept as proof) for twenty years and this works very well.

Two lawyers working on a lawsuit against others is not working with the whole, but dividing the whole between you and them.

Ballot Access News is all about division, conflict and hostilities. Claiming to be for unity while suing, dividing, dictating and annual power grabs at the expense of fairness to the whole has been a failed strategy by the Libertarian Party.

We at the USA and International Parliaments are leading by example. But many dividers can’t accept the whole team and democratic decisions, peaceful decision-making alternatives to force and violence.

We are the true promoters of the non-initiation of force and the mathematical use of the correct voting system.

Every vote ever cast by any USA citizen within the national at-large district has been factored into the totals since day one on August 6th 1995 and this works perfectly well.

See video of the gathering of United Coalition candidates for President of the United States (POTUS) which was held at a meeting between both USA and International Parliament participants on July 4th, 2015.

  8. And That was just to get the Libertarian 2 (If he would have gotten that) in a race John won by 30.

    Ridiculous

  9. James Ogle is a sweet person who is trying to figure out how he can make the world a better place. In the past he did valuable work getting poor and homeless people to register to vote.

  10. These Republicans all belong in prison. Not country club rich people’s prison either, I’m talking ass-pounding prison with tattooed gangbangers and skinheads with HIV doing life, nasty sadistic guards and lots of rats and roaches, including in the kitchen slop served to the prisoners as food.

  11. “James Ogle is a sweet person…”

So is Robert Milnes but nobody takes him seriously either.

  12. Thank you for the great compliment Honorable MP Richard Winger [Libertarian].

But I cannot take the credit for registering many disenfranchised and homeless people in California, because we are a team and no one person is more important than the team.

We are able to use the team psychology and unity in every aspect of the USA and International Parliaments because our guidelines as approved by the majority coalition prohibit not just plurality elections (and election not using ranked choice voting in multi-winner districts), but we also prohibit any single name or decision item from being considered or elected in our private elections.

    This changes everything.

That’s because team psychology is very developed and we use and expect the highest levels of teamwork.

As Richard Winger is an MP and promoter of fair ballot access, we appreciate his work and team efforts too.

MP Winger [Libertarian] has been a long time member of our team and on April 8th, 2011 he voted for the Prime Ministers, Secretaries and rules as follows:

    Secretary

    Vote for Rules
    1 current rules (#1-34)

We are a dynamic team, always able to improve and adjust year by year as we attract more and more team players. We welcome the 100% and look forward to your participation too.

  13. I don’t take Milnes seriously, but I still take him more seriously than James Ogle.

  14. I agree with you, kp! Ogle is just plain delusional but come to think of it so is Milnes. At least Milnes doesn’t spam this board.
