Several reputable sources believe that former Congressman John Hostettler will seek the Constitution Party’s presidential nomination. He represented southwest Indiana as a Republican 1994-2006. He was born in 1961. See this wikipedia article about him. In 2008, he endorsed Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party’s nominee that year, for President.

  1. Wonder if he knows about the CP’s history, along with Riley Hood & Don Grundmann?

  2. Not sure what you’re on about, Cody, but Mr. Hostettler does carry a gun. (read the Wiki article). Might want to be careful about what you say. 😉

  3. So you’re saying that if I keep commenting, I’m going to get intentionally shot over my opinions? Is that a threat?

  4. If the Constitution Party has any chance of getting former Congressman John Hostettler to be their nominee in 2016, they better jump at it.
Hostettler has the political experience and his views on many issues correspond with the Constitution Party position.
But, as was in 2008 and to some extend in 2012, too many people voted for Mitt Romney with the hope of defeating Obama and will do so again in 2016 in and attempt of keeping Hillary Clinton from becoming the first woman President.
The election of 2016 is going to be interesting.

  5. @Alabama Independent: There are a number of other reasons that people might vote strategically to oppose Hillary Clinton as a presidential candidate besides the fact that she would be the first woman president.

  6. It not a case of “if Hillary is defeated”, it’s a case of “how bad will Hillary be defeated”.

  7. The communist Donkeys LOVE to have DIVIDE and CONQUER third parties and independents

    P.R. and nonpartisan App.V.

  8. Getting registered voters to the polls is the key to victory in any election. Going off the subject of John Hostettler, if Donald Trump were to decide to run Independent, he could win that election as he has the money to appoint a Precinct Captain in every Voting Precinct in the United States. That Precinct Captain would have to know every voter in the precinct and have the staff (provided by Trump)who could provide a ride for every voter – especially those pledged to vote to Trump. If Trump can get the some 40 to 50 percent of the voters who don’t vote, he would pull the greatest upset in the history of the United States.

Right, everyone lied to every poll, including historically very accurate, anonymous exit polls.

And they must have all lied in a coordinated fashion since Clinton polled just as well or better on thousands of different polls during the time Peot dropped out.

Plus all the polls about Bush’s approval ratings, everyone lied on all those polls too.

What planet do you live on?

  10. John Hostettler would be a fine candidate. Only one of six Republicans who voted against the Bush/Biden/Hillary killing field operation that continues today in Iraq.

  11. I have know Cody Quirk since he was a County Chairman of the
California AIP. He is a fine young man. Stop giving him a
    hard time.

Hostettler will not be on the California Ballot in 2016. Mr.
Myers of Alaska will be. Both are running for POTUS in other
    states as Constitution Party.

Thank you Cody for your past service to the California American Independent Party.

    Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Chairman
    American Independent Party of California

  12. Thank you for the kind words Mr. Seidenberg.

As you can tell here, even some CP’ers are willing to make threats on my life.

  13. Mark Seidenbeg,
Are your comments an indication that the AIPCA would be willing to place Mr. Myers on the ballot if he were to win the CP nomination? What are some of the problems that Mr. Hostettler has? Or is your party planning on courting Mr. Trump?

    Thanks,

    Timothy Yung
