The Intercept wrote an article some time ago that mentioned the NSA receiving help in its mass spying from the Symantec and McAfee companies (while simultaneously trying to hack into foreign anti-virus companies such as Avast and Kaspersky). I wonder if the assistance the McAfee company provided to the NSA began before, or after Intel purchased the company in 2010? That could perhaps shed some more light on John McAfee’s presidential run, whether the technological blind spots he claims the gov’t has are technical in nature, or if he thinks they’re too authoritarian/libertarian. I might comment with a link to the article later if I can find it.
Civic curiosity aside, I’m still supporting Jill Stein.
