Oregon May Not be Able to Release Independent Party Presidential Primary Results Until June 16

Oregon held presidential primaries for three parties on May 17. No names were printed on the Independent Party’s primary ballot. Election officials promised to tally all the write-ins in that primary, since it is the write-in votes that will determine who won. Election officials say this is such a big job, they may not get it done until June 16.

The Independent Party wanted the names of certain presidential candidates to be printed on its presidential primary ballot, but the Secretary of State refused.

  1. Results from the Oregon IPO Primary Election should be available next week. Later, in July or August, the IPO and the AIP CA and National AIP will officially choose their POTUS & VP nominees. Thanks to all of you across the country who have supported my campaign. To date, I have received more public primary votes (+4,009) in more states (3 – ID, OR, CA) than any other current or former CP candidate. I look forward to the remainder of the campaign! J.R.
