Independent presidential candidate Evan McMullen’s petition in Utah has enough valid signatures, according to the Utah elections office. He needed 1,000 valid signatures and the state said he had 1,083 valid. He submitted approximately 2,000 signatures.

No surprise, but it’s certainly going to hurt Darrell Castle’s LDS appeal.
Cody, The fact that the Constitution Party of Utah does not have a candidate for governor or lieutenant governor, yet they are ballot qualified for president says a lot about their credibility there, especially when Castle’s running mate, Scott Bradley, is from the Beehive State. They sure are good at website design, though.

Super Dell Schnaze used to be a Libertarian Party member. Several years ago I was making Libertarian Party fundraising calls and Dell Schnaze was on my list. I called him, not realizing that he had recently quit the party. He was quite rude over the phone, as he shouted, “Libertarians are a bunch of homo faggots!” after which he hung up the phone on me. I then scratched his name off of my list.
Why aren’t McMullin, the IAP, and the CP putting together a coalition ticket?
Because they have little to nothing in common with him.

It’s quite easy for a minor party to get ballot access and stay ballot qualified in Utah. Yet look at the voter registration numbers- the Utah CP is the smallest minor party in that state, as both the IAP and LP have thousands upon thousands of more registered voters then they do.
