On the afternoon of August 19, Evan McMullin and Chris Keniston filed to be on the Louisiana presidential ballot. McMullin’s ballot label will be “Courage Character Service”. Keniston is the Veterans’ Party presidential nominee, but he chose this label: “Unity Security Opportunity”.
Well, a true pity McMuffin made it on the ballot. On the other hand, I dont know how someone expected to have McMullin off the ballot if the only thing you need to be in the ballot in LA is $500 and 8 people willing to be electors.
It’s not quite that easy, because there must be a resident of each US House district on the slate of elector candidates. By contrast, Colorado doesn’t care where the electors live, as long as they live in Colorado.
Keniston is listed as Veterans Party candidate now.
Interesting that Congressmen won’t have to live in their districts and some states require Presidential electors to live in specific CDs. I’m guessing this has been litigated before.
So Jim Hedges didn’t make it… Sorry to hear about that. Was hoping he’d make it on the Louisiana ballot.
So glad! At first I thought they were running mates. Thanks to both for their service and for stepping up now.
Does McMullin have a veep for this ticket yet?
He used his stand-in, Nathan Johnson.
Is that the same Nathan who trolls IPR?
I think that’s Nathan Norman.
