In 2012, there were 17 write-in candidates, 11 of them received zero votes, including 3 candidates who had 10 elector candidates.
If you were Joseph Jensen, how would you feel if you included Bruce, Betty, and Maryjo Jensen among your elector candidates, and you still received zero votes?
Incidentally, Rick Santorum received 35 VP write-ins in 2012.
In 2016, there are 44 write-in candidate pairs, including Amy Klobuchar, Jesse Ventura, Condoleeza Rice, and John Kerry as vice-presidential candidates.
The top third party Candidates on the ballot Gary Johnson and Jill Stein will get the votes.
