Ohio Supreme Court Asks Secretary of State to Respond to New Ohio Libertarian Party Lawsuit

On December 22, the Ohio Supreme Court asked the Secretary of State to respond to the Libertarian Party’s new ballot access lawsuit. This is the case that argues because the Libertarian Party presidential nominee, Gary Johnson, got over 3%, the party should be recognized. The response is due December 27.

The case is State ex rel Fockler v Husted, 2016-1863.

  1. How many years does it now take for a ballot access case to be filed and then get some sort of SCOTUS result ???
