Virginia Libertarian Party Will Seek to Appear on Statewide Ballot in November 2017

The Virginia Libertarian Party will attempt to place a gubernatorial candidate on the ballot in the November 2017 election. Chances are, assuming the drive succeeds, there will only be three candidates on the ballot for Governor. The requirement is 10,000 signatures due in mid-June.

In the 2013 election, there were three candidates on the ballot for Virginia governor: Democratic, Republican, and Libertarian.

In the 2009 election, only the Democratic and Republican nominees appeared.
