Two Constitution Party Members Were Elected to Local Office on November 7

On November 7, the city of Duchesne, Utah, held non-partisan elections for city office. Two officers of the local Constitution Party won their races. Rodney Rowley won a contested race for Mayor, with 63% of the vote. Danny Peatross won an uncontested race for city council.

Considering how conservative the Constitution Party is, they are a perfect fit for Utah. Not a political party I’m a fan of, but in general a third-party win is still a positive, even if it’s in a non-partisan setting.

This is the party I see as the closest to what Trump seems to be. A nativist conservative party with a taste for protectionism and a distaste for free markets
