Working Families Party is No Longer on Vermont Ballot

The Working Families Party, which had been a qualified party in Vermont starting in 2009, has let its status lapse. It did not forward anything at tne end of 2017 to show that it still has town committees in at least ten towns.

  1. Not exactly, and that is why I’m surprised this happened. WFP certainly usually meets the size and structure requirements, but it often acts as a satellite to to the Democrats. Maybe this wasn’t the case on VT?

  2. HOW MANY SUPER LEFTWING PARTIES NEEDED IN LITTLE VT —

IN ADDITION TO THE DONKEYS AND PROGRESSIVES ???

  3. Could the WFP be aligning with the Vermont Progressive Party? They do have very similar goals, and the Progressive Party is the stronger of the two. Thoughts?

  4. I could certainly see that if it was the case, Karl.

And what a shock, I disagree with Demo, because I certainly think there is a place for a party like the Green Party, since Liberty Union, for one, is more left than the Greens, and two, I frankly worry about how long the Liberty Union Party will stick around since Diamondstone died. They haven’t gone anywhere yet, but long-term, I’m not positive.

I’d also, of course, dispute completely that the Vermont Democratic Party or Progressive party are “SUPER LEFTWING,” and furthermore, I never understood complaining about how many parties there are in an area. Let there be a ton of choices, since there are differences, and let the voters choose. Don’t complain about a state like Vermont having just three parties on the left. You say it’s too much, I say there’s not enough choice.

  5. What is/are the magic test(s) for ranking/rating all of the left/right control freak statist parties in world history — on a mere scale —

    Left 100 — 0 — 100 Right ???

Gee — what do the left/right gangs have in common ???

Answer 100 pct CONTROL — birth to death — left/right versions.
