On July 2, the U.S. House Committee on Ways & Means sued the U.S. Treasury Department to obtain a copy of President Trump’s tax returns. The case is filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., and is assigned to Judge Trevor McFadden, a Trump appointee.
