U.S. Supreme Court Reverses Lower Court Order and Disallows Wisconsin Absentee Ballots that Aren’t Postmarked by April 7

On the evening of April 6, the U.S. Supreme Court voted 5-4 to overturn the Seventh Circuit decision that let Wisconsin absentee ballots arrive as late as April 13, for the April 7 election. See the order here.

  2. Under the US Supreme Court order ballots received as late as April 13th will count if they are postmarked by April 7th. Any ballots post marked after April 7th will be rejected.
